veg serviing size is 1 c raw on most things and 1/2 cupped cooked? And the protein size is 8oz for chicken and 6 oz for less lean meats? I appreciate this!

I have been on the Red Program, and what I wanted to know was the serving size of the proteins and the best fruits for the plan. Also what is the next color and of the plan and when should I go down. I moved from the city where I there was a center, but now I don't have a center to visit. Any information you can provide would be deeply appreciated.

I need to know your height & weight to be able to answer when you should switch plans. I also need to know if you're exercising more than 5 hours per week and/or working long hours.

The next plan down is purple but as I said I need to know those answers before I can say when to change.

Generally for lean proteins like white meat chicken the serving is 8 ounces. For choices that aren't as lean like beef 6 ounces. There are tons of protein choices and I honestly don't have all the servings memorized but can tell you that peanut butter is 3 tbsp.

As far as fruit...apples, oranges, kiwi, grapes (green have less sugar than red), peaches,...actually it would be easier to tell you what to avoid.

Bananas are high in sugar and the fiber they contain is not the beneficial fiber so try to limit these.

Pears are also high in sugar so only 1/2 a pear for a serving. But you can have pears in moderation (1-2 a week) because they do have a small amount of the good fiber.

Good Morning everyone, I wanted to just stop in and say that I did call the LAWL center out west and I did sign up for the 149.00 unlimited weeks program because I wanted to stay on the LA Lites. They taste soooooo good. Molly who runs the on line program is also very very nice. So I am so anxious to get things started again, The 149.00 also includes the portion plate, which is really nice because by using this plate you don't have to weight and measure anything !!!!!!!!!!!How cool is that?? They only charge 5.00 for shipping and I went ahead and ordered new lites, so that was a good deal. So many places today want to charge and arm and a leg for shipping.. I am so excited to get back on the program again, I have been lucky that I have only gained back 5 lbs in 7 months. And some inches, what I did was
start back on the purple plan until my shipment arrives. So if
anyone wants to stay on the LA Lites it would be a good idea to
call the number that Pecan listed on here, and I will post it
here again for those of you who did not see her postings. It is
1-406-656-8446 Thank God for the LA Lites again LOL !!!!! And
still much thanks to Raz who has been a tremdous help to all of
us who needed support and continued support...I think it is a
good idea to hold onto the number in case Raz would get into a
hectic schedule and not be able to get back to everyone each week. I myself need someone to answer to every week to stay completely faithful. Even if it means paying for it, ya just do what ya gotta do !!!!! I also look at it this way, I may be able to supply Raz with information that we didn't have here on the East Coast of LAWL/Pure Centers. Sounds like they have some changes to the plan that I didn't even know about. Especially with the food groups and how many exchanges you can have on a certain plan/color booklet. Hope everyone has a great week.. and again Hats off to Raz for staring this support system for us.

As for which plan you should be on go on the red (with lites) until you reach 231. At that point you should switch to purple.

As far as the V8 fusion when I was still with LA the dieticians were saying no to using it at all. I told people that if they wanted to use 4 ounces as a fruit that was ok as long as it was no more than once a day. It's too sweet and just doesn't have enough good stuff to call it a vegetable during weight loss...in maintenece the rules about this change.

That's right. Those drinks are beyond the expiration. My experience with them is that they're kinda like milk...you know they are ok beyond but you never know when they'll turn. I would try shaking really well, then pouring into a glass. If there are any lumps (that's what they do when bad) throw them out. If no lumps they're probably ok.

Ok so I bought the Slim down from biglot and raz confirmed that it was expired but to shake it well and check for lumps. If they are none then they may me good. Well I drink one yesterday and one today and I had the same results on both ocation. I was in the bathroon 1 1/2 hours later. I drink the first one in the morning and the second in the evening to see if maybe it was the time that made my body react that way. Now I know it had nothing to do with time. Just do not drink them

I am new here, but had a quickie question please. I was on LA Weight loss back in 2003 . I lost 40 pounds on the red plan (i started at about 225) I had no lites, no supplements from LA weight loss. I have some health problems so I couldn't really use anything they offered. However I can not find the red plan anymore that I used to have. But currently I am back at 240 and would like to lose 100 pounds. Looking for help or thoughts. Thank you very much.

I have been reading all the comments on this page, so I decided to ask a question too. I started on Purple plan a couple years ago and was doing ok with it. I was getting frustrated though because every time I went in the counselors only told me what I was doing wrong since I was not losing weight as quickly as they may have liked. I did lose 17 pounds though. I want to start the program again on my own. I don't know what plan to be on however. I am 5'4" and weight 211. Like I said I was on the purple plan. I do not have lites. Can you please help?

Start out on the Red plan. The serving sizes are the same as purple.

Red:

2 1/2 protein
4 vegetables
3 fruit
3 starch
1 dairy
1 fat

Let me know if you have any other questions. You should change to the purple plan at 184...you will not need lites for this plan.

Help again! I am up to about 190, 5'51/2". I am going to do TAKE OFF with the oranges for the next 2 days. I need the Lites, but have none. I plan to walk about an hour every day. What should I eat? Will I lose without Lites? I need a crunch chocolate fix, but if you think i will lose well without I will go for it. I haven't been on all summer and have gained most of lost weight back.
Any advice is appreciated!

You certainly can lose without the lites. Once you're finished the TakeOFF go onto the red plan.

At 170 make the change to purple and stay on purple til you reach goal.

Hi Raz,
I'm 5'4" and 51 yrs. old and I've lost 108 lbs in 11 months. From the highest I've weighed I've lost 155 lbs. I've been basically following the Red 1 Plan but not measuring the protein and vegtables as one of the counselors told me to do. I do measure exactly the starches, fruits, dairy and fat and I eat them before 3pm. Right now a typical breakfast is a protein shake with the whey protein, 2 fruits and a cup of rice milk blended in a blender. I either have a piece of toast with 1 tsp. of peanut butter or half a bagel with 1 tbsp light cream cheese. I have 3 starches and 2 fats. My weight loss has slowed way down from March so I'm losing about half a pound to a pound a week now, but I haven't hit a plateau as of yet. I go to the gym 6 days a week and do weights for about 1 hour 3x a wk plus 30min of areobic exercise. On the other 3 days I do 45 min of areobic exercise. I find that I've been hungry more since I've started doing the weights and I've actually had a trainer for the last couple of weeks. I tend to be really hungry at night before bed and then I feel hungry during the day as well sometimes. I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions on what I could do so I won't be so hungry. Should I change my plan or add things? Anyway I would welcome any suggestions that you might have. Thanks.

Hi Ratlady! Congrats on all of your weight loss! I have a question. Did you eat the Luna bars when you lost the weight? I wondered if it slowed you down at all? Ratlady,

Do you have the Red1 book? I'm not sure why a counselor would tell you not to measure proteins. It's important that you get enough. Because of your exercise level I'm going to tell you to stay on the Red1 plan but I want you to measure your proteins. It's also important that you get enough vegetables. Make sure you're getting at least 4 cups (raw) per day. If you're going over on veggies I'm not worried. Veggies are forgiving. But, you need to make sure you're getting enough.

hi raz, this is anointedone long time no hear i have a question now i was talking to a friend about the diet and i told her that when doing the fastfoward you can have the lites twice a day with the unlimited protein and veg also you can have 1/4 teaspoon of morton salt also and 4 oranges also 24 onces of diet soda did i tell her right or did i tell her wrong or was i right please let me know also can you have flavored water this water has no sodium no sugar no calories so she can have it right on the fast foward

When doing the unlimited protein version you can not have the lites. The lites go with the version where you have 6 ounces of lean protein throughout the day.

The rest is right.

And yes the flavored water is fine provided there's no calories, no sodium, and no sugar.

hi raz, this is anointedone, i told her wrong i told her it was ok to eat the bars i could have thought long time ago when i started the program they had me do the bars with the fastforward and 1/4 teaspoon of salt and all the protein and green veg and 8 glasses of water i could be wrong but i thought that what i had to do well i guess i was wrong thank you so much for keeping me on track once again thank you and god bless

No problem! It's an easy mistake to make. I don't think it will hurt much because the bars are mostly protein. the reason you're not supposed to have them is because they do have some carbs in them and the FastForward is intended to "detox" from that. Take care!

Welcome! You can do the 4 oranges with unlimited protein and unlimited green vegetables for 2 days...for short you can call it Fast Forward if you want...it's the program without the juice. After going onto the plan you can do it once a month if you want.

As for your program do purple:
2 protein
4 vegetable
3 fruit
2 starch
1 dairy
1 fat

You'll remain on purple to your goal. If you have any problems please don't hesitate to ask!

As far as doing the oranges for fast forward is that 2 oranges a day and can we drink diet soda or crystal lite or is it just water?

also can we have salad dressing ?

and the butter and cooking oil or olive oil is fine right? along with unlimited protein and green vegetables did I get that right?

Do the FastForward. Unlimited protein, unlimited green vegetables. Instead of drinking the juice eat 4 oranges each day. Do this for 2 days.

Then you have a decision to make. You can either use a replacement for the bars such as the Luna bars (make sure your replacement has at least 9 grams of protein). If you're going to do this go on the Purple plan. This plan has protein sizes 2 ounces bigger than gold and has 1 more vegetable serving than gold.

If you want to do it without the lites, go on the red plan.

2 1/2 protein (same size as purple)
4 vegetable
3 fruit
3 starch
1 dairy
1 fat

Let me know if you need any other help.

Should I stay on the red plan until I reach my goal? 200 lbs, 5'6 weight loss goal is 150

Yes you can use salad dressing (lite) and have butter.

You can have up to 24 oz. of crystal lite or diet soda. Make sure you get your 64 oz of water though

I am starting weightloss plan again. I was on the gold the last time and plan to start. Do you know the ounces for protein and about the cup size for the veggies?? Also, I work and sometimes eat out. I know Arby's Martha Vineyard's salad was on the list, but I can't remember how to count it. Any help would be appreciated. Also any other chain salads how to count them. Thanks a bunch!
