Purple no lite plan: 2 protein, 4 vegetable, 3 fruit, 2 starch, 1 fat, 1 dairy The proteing size is 6 oz instead of 4 oz for beef and 8 oz instead of 6 oz for chicken. *** There are NO drops from purple no lite plan **** Red no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 3 fruit, 3 starch, 1 dairy, 1 fat
Red 1 no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 4 fruits, 4 starch, 2 dairy, 1 fat If you were on green or gold, move to purple. If you were on purple, move to red. And if you were on red, move to red 1. The drop sequence can not be posted as easily. It is based upon your height and ideal weight. But, I can tell you that if you are following the plan and you reach a plateau that won't break odds are you might be near a drop point. When deciding if you will make the drop be honest with yourself about how well you are following the plan. If you're following it exactly then try the drop. |

Thank you so much for this info. I started the program about 6 weeks ago and have lost about 15 pounds. I like this program and have found it easier to follow than weight watchers. I went by the center today and was surprised to see it closed and even more surprised to learn that the company has gone under. I plan on continuing the program by myself. Once I run out of the Lites, I plan on shooping around for other bars out in the market for a similar combo of cals/protien,fat, etc. I am grateful that you have put up the exchanges, but since I am new to the program, I don't really understand how it works. Can you provide any more info? Specifically, when does one go from one level to another? Is it when one reaches a certain weight? Thanks in advance for any more info you can provide. |

Yes, it has to do with when you reach a certain weight. What plan are you on? How tall are you? I'll do my best to help you out. |

There are not any more drops after purple without the lites. Thank you very much for your help. This makes sense now! I'll switch from purple with lites to the red with no lites when I run out in the next week or two. If I can ever get to 137, I'll go back to purple (no lights). I have a sweet tooth for chocolate, so I'll miss the lites when they are gone. I saw a bunch of lites, etc. on ebay, but I am not sure whether I'll go that route. Again, thank you! |

If you were on yellow (gold) with lites switch back to purple if you are not using the lites. Follow it exactly as written in the book except for the lites. If you don't have the book the exchanges are as follows: 2 Protein (2 oz bigger than on yellow)

LA Lites = LUNA Bars in composition (the Luna even taste like the Choc Raspberry & the Key Lime. Sort of.) Take Off Drink = Hollywood 48 hour Miracle Diet (you can get it at your pharmacy or grocery store) It's cheaper too... ** ** & YES I DID buy it/drink it while on the LA Wgt Loss Program. Paid 16.00 instead of 25.00, & now I am glad ! It's a small consolation. Good luck everyone!

Thanks so much for all the help. I will try the Luna bars and I will have to look for the Hollywood Miracle Drink...I would love nothing more then to be able to stay on this diet for good...... |

This is for AnnQ: The Reduce Plus contained CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). I take CLA on my own, with every meal. 1000 mg geltabs--they are huge. CLA makes the fat cells shrink. FYI: research any supplement at www.lef.org. They've got the best info. If you like Dairy Queen blizzards, I concocted one for myself instead of buying the slimdowns. Ingredients: 8 oz skim milk, 3 Tbls. peanut butter (natural is best), 1 or 2 Tbls. SF chocolate syrup. Freeze 4 oz. of the skim milk in an ice tray (I had to purchase a special one because milk sticks in plastic!). Then blend the frozen milk with 4 oz. milk, and the remaining ingredients. It's very yummy. Hope this helps. |

I then changed to a calcium/vitamin D/magnesium supplement and everything changed! Everything worked fine. Magnesium will aid in losing if you're retaining in that "area" (as does the calcium). Hope this helps. |

I am on maintanace since March 2007 and have maintained my goal weight, I'm actually 10 lbs. under goal weight. :) I have been taking the LAWL supplements. Is there anything I can get from GNC that is equivalent to Excel, Reduce Plus, Carb Enders, etc? |

trisha1960 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania 11 months ago |
Okay thank you so much for the info. I will see if my supplement has the magnesium in it. |

I have lost weight the first time, and the second time on the program. Most of the associates where very helpful and knowledgeable. I was dismayed to find the company closing and no product available. I find the blogs useful and will continue to follow the program. |

I don't know anything about Excel or Carb Enders because I couldn't take either of them (medical reasons). CLA is the same thing as Reduce Plus. I've been taking CLA for a couple of years and my doctor approves of it. |

I love this diet and have never control my binge eating until this. Iam going to miss the centers. I love the help I have been reading on this site. I have a question; I am on Blue plan because I exercise. I have lost 4o pounds so far about another 20 to go. Will I stay on Blue or will I ever drop or move up? the center say I will stay at Blue but since they are closing I thought I would ask a second opinion. also can fat free mayo be used as a condiment? Tracey |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 11 months ago |
Tracey, If you still have lites stay on blue, there are not any drops unless you decrease your exercise. If you are out of lites, switch to the red no lite plan which is: 2 1/2 Proteins (portions are 2 oz. bigger)
Also, non-fat mayo is not a condiment during weight loss. But, you can use it in maintenance. |
|

Thank you so much! It is nice to know no drops. Also, I found the Pri bars at Walmart. I will try those when I run out of Lites. Tracey |

I am very upset about the closing of Pure Weight Loss. I am owed 19 boxes of Lites and I don't think I will be seeing them. Anyway, I was reading the blogs and I read something about them recently changing from a color plan to a number plan, and that 2 slices of lite bread counted as one starch on the number plan vs. 1 slice on the color plan. Does anyone know about this, and if so, how to get those books?

I am using slim fast optima snack bars which have 120 cal and similar fat content. They taste great but are smaller which is tuff. The luna bars are gross. Red no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 3 fruit, 3 starch, 1 dairy, 1 fat
Trisha, Are you working out? If you're adding muscle that would be an easy explanation for why you're losing inches but not weight. Muscle does weigh more than fat, but it takes up less than half the room. Barb, A drop is the term for when you should change plans. If you tell me your height, weight, and what plan you were on I can give you the appropriate plan without the lites and also tell you when you should "drop" to the next plan. Hope this helps! |
