Hi razmataz,

Could you tell me what the new numbered plans consist of and what would be the details if I am on Blue Plan. I get hungry at night and heard there is more food and food selection on the numbered or Free To Live Plans

Thanks Tracey

raz, Yes I was walking 1 to 2 miles a day
7 days a week, and lite weights, 3 lbs but
only 1 to 2 sets for like my arms and upper
body, and just sit ups for the abs...I will
try the red with no lites and see if that
helps, but are the starch and fruits portions the same as the purple and is the
protein portions size the same as the purple
It makes it hard to follow when you don't have the red plan book....Thanks

All the portions on red are the same as on purple. So you can use your purple book and just change the number of servings.

Hi Raz,
If she were to use the cookbook, the cookbooks give what their receipe stands for, but it looks as if that goes for the smaller plans such as gold or Blue. Can a Red or a Purple follow the cookbooks? Also, I plan to stay on Blue instead of upping to REd because of this but I thought if I get hungry at night, could I get SF,FF Jello with maybe an unused condiment? I had read somewhere that Jello is a Freebie.

Thanks
Tracey

You can stay on blue if you have lites or are using another protein bar (at least 8 g. of protein). The SF/FF jello is a condiment. If you're not using any bars then you'll be better off on red. The differences between red and blue is that on red the protein portions are 2 oz. bigger and you get an additional vegetable serving. Besides being hungry not getting enough food can have a negative effect on your weight loss efforts because it will cause your metabolism to slow.

Thanks for replying. I took the day off of my T-Tapp workout because I felt overtraining muscles but, whenever I had breaks I did cardio dancing workouts and tonight while my son swam with a party I did 30 min. of treadmill walking. I was really hungry when I got home. I had a lite left, but ended up having Peanut butter with it and some jello. I don't feel stuffed, just satisfied. NOw, I have lost alot of weight and have about 10 or so to go. I do look very fit and not heavy. I love this program, I just wish there was a little more food. That is why I am interested in the new Free To Live Numbered plans because I hear they have more food, but, of coarse, there are no centers in my state or the state next to me.

It is the Numbered plans that the La Weight Loss centers started using after Pure became their own. Apparantly, the foods are counted differently. I know of people on other forums using this but can not find any detailed info. on these. I wish there was a way to sign up with LA through telephone or email counseling.

I'll tell you what. I'm so pissed at this company. I lost 20 lbs. in 2 months, then they changed my plan and nothing. I was stagnant for 4 months. Same weight. I continued to buy all this $hit from them; juices, supplements, tea, etc. That burns my butt!! I weigh more now than I DID. And now this. Now I owe $2400 to Care Credit and am getting nothing in return.

I have a mtg. w/ an atty on Wed. Will keep everyone posted on that front.

I am using the Luna bars which I think taste better than the LA Lites. I always hated most of them and only used them because it was a requirement. But I do have a sweet tooth so these hit the spot. Without something I will start indulging that sweet tooth again. I love this plan, it is much better than Weight Watchers and just made sense to me. I was totally shocked to hear that they were closing. The Stabilization was what I wanted and now I see that it has been posted. I am on the Gold plan continue to lose but at a very slow rate, less than a pound a week. I am very strict with it too. I have 20 pounds to go, I've lost 35. What do you suggest? Should I eat two Luna bars a day. They are calorically close but they are so much bigger than the LA Lites.

I feel the same way. I sent in a dispute to Care Credit. I need to call them and find out the status. I have lost 60lbs. feel great and if I go to my lowest weight possible, I would have 15lbs to go. Since I feel better, I have increased my exercise also. I so look forward to the extra starch, fat, dairy, etc. Then I know I will have plenty of food and always be satisfied. I find also if I cheat and get back on program, I maintain my weight. That is encouraging. Concerning the bars, I like the atkins, south beach, Kellogs. For shake replacement, www.securemeal.com by Andrew Lessman. I like to do one shake, one bar. I have a sweet tooth also and so I stick with the bars and shakes.

Look at both the calories and the protein content. The lites had 8 grams of protein in each bar, Im not familiar with the content on the Luna bars. If the calories are the same and the protein is 10 or less I would try going with 2 a day. If you don't get enough protein and calories your weight loss will slow.

Other possibilities...make sure you are getting enough variety. Your metabolism can get "bored" and does not work as efficiently as possible if you don't have variety.

Make sure you are weighing and measuring everything. When we try to "eye ball" it we often cheat ourselves and not having enough intake will slow your weight loss.

Consider doing a version of the Take Off. If you don't have the juice you can use 4 oranges each day instead of the juice. Make sure to eat 2 bars those days.

Also, watch your sodium levels. Processed foods and meats like beef, fish like salmon & crab all have higher sodium. Too much sodium can result in water retention thus slowing the weight loss. Try some hot lemon water.

It sounds like you are doing well despite the closure. You should be proud of yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back and keep up the motivation!

Great advice, especially the weghing and measuring part. My counselors suggested this when I hit a plateau and it really worked. I had slowly started adding more food without realizing (imagine! LOL)

Thanks for all the great advice on here from the counselors who really care. You are the reason this program worked so well. ;-}~

Thank you this is very helpful. I have a scale I bought when I used to do Weight Watchers so I do weigh and measure everything. I even take it into restaurants with me on occasion. My problem starts with frozen vegetables because it's hard to get them into a measuring cup. Sometimes I think I'm not getting enough of them. I try to limit my beef to a couple of times a week, I didn't realize how much salt was in it. Variety is my problem so today I told my husband that we are not going to eat anything that we normally eat. We are even switching when we eat our meals. I've only done the takeoff once at the beginning. I didn't like the drink so I always avoided going back on it. Could you please tell me how long you stay on it?

Take off is 2 days.

You get 2 Cups of green vegetables, 6 oz of lean protein, and the 2 bars. And, instead of the juice eat 4 oranges throughout the day.

The way I always divide it is a bit different than the way the instructions put it.

Breakfast: 1/2 bar
Mid-morning: 1/2 bar
Lunch: 3 oz. lean protein, 1 cup green vegetable (raw or steamed)
Snack: 1/2 bar
Dinner: 3 oz. lean protein, 1 cup green vegetable (raw or steamed)
Snack: 1/2 bar

You can place the oranges where ever you like but spread them out through the day.

Hi Barb, I hear what you are saying about the being stagnent
for 4 months, I finally got fed up and switched to weight watchers
just to try to break the plateau...finally lost another 2 pounds.. big deal.. I see the Attorney Generals Oddice is suing
the pants off this Ahole who owned PURE weight loss,,, and rightfully so....you know I bought all this extra $hit on eBay
, the LA lite bars and the Take Off Juice and now I don't know
if I even want to go back to trying the plan again....I was even
walking up to 3 stinkin miles a day and still couldn't break
the plateau......Raz told me to go to red plan with no lites
but I don't know...is it worth the headache of trying to stick
to this D--- plan??? I have not gained anything back YET, and
I sure hope I don't, I have 1900.00 PLUS tied up into this
crap............It was a great plan while it was working.....

Both of you should switch to the red plan.

2 1/2 protein
4 vegetables
3 fruit
2 starch
1 dairy
1 fat

The servings are the same size as on purple.

I was on the red before but with LA Lites and personally it was too much food for me. I'm comfortable with the 2 proteins per day. What would happen if i stay on the Purple and just eliminate the LA Lites? Would it still work or would i need to switch to red for it to work?

Senoner,

What is your height and weight? Also, do you exercise and if so how many hours per week? Do you work long hours? With the answers to these questions I can be more sure about my answer to you. Weight loss is a delicate balance. If I tell you to eat too much food it won't work. But, as odd as this may seem if I don't give you enough it won't work either.

You're pretty close to the "drop" point between red and purple. (less than 10 pounds away). Try the purple if you feel the red is too much. Give it a week. If you find you are not losing move back to the red until you're below 200. There are not any more changes after purple if you're not using the lites (or another type of protein bar to replace them). Hope this helps!

I need help. I did LA about 2 years ago. I did well. I was on the gold plan..but wasn't good about using the bars. But I still lost the weight. I have an old book and I wanted to start up again, mostley because I recently had bloodwork done and my doctor recommended a lower carb diet, more protiens and veggies and some carbs but not with every meal. I figured my best bet was to start back my gold plan. But after reading all these blogs I'm completely confused and not sure what to do. I'm 5'5 and roughly 160 pounds. Any suggestions??

I do stick with the gold when I feel I have gained a few lbs. back, however I have kept most of my original weight loss off (except 5 lbs). So I may actually need a different plan now because I have less to loose.

Follow purple without the bars? Everything is the same (size)except the proteins are 2oz more? Like gold was 6oz of chicken..not it would 8oz? That is a lot of chicken! How about tuna? I'm sorry...its been a while.

Hi Everyone!
I am in need of some help. I started out on Purple (5'1 192 lbs 25yrs old)and my goal is 132lbs. I've lost fifteen pounds so far and I have plenty of Lites. At what weight should I drop down to Gold (or another plan)with lites? Thanks in advance!

Drop to gold at 167 if you still have lites. If you run out of lites go back to purple.

Gold is as follows:
2 protein (2 oz smaller than purple)
3 vegetables
3 fruit
2 starch
1 dairy
1 fat
2 lites
Hope this helps!

Hello Raz!

You are a saint with your counseling! My question is pretty much along the same lines. I've lost 30 pounds and have hit a plateau. I've been stuck for about 3 months and have been trying to really stick to Blue plan. My counselors told me that because I work early hours I would stay on Blue. At what point would I drop to another plan, if at all? I am 5'3" and weigh 160. I'm fluctuating between 158 and 162. Would I drop to another plan and what are the drop weights?

Thanks!

twinzmom1229,

Do you still have lites? Also, what do you mean by "early hours"? How many hours do you work a day?

I'm thinking that purple might be more appropriate (depending on the work questions and if you still have lites)

Another possibility is red...if you're out of lites and/or working enough hours.

Let me know & I'll try to help.
