anointedone, I'm here for both moral support and technical help. Is there something specific I can help you with? Are you getting bored with the food choices? Is your life so busy that planning is not happening? Let me know where the specific difficuly lies. I know it's hard. Another thing that makes it hard is how easy people that have never needed to lose weight think it is. Losing weight is a difficult task but you CAN do it! Look at the things you've accomplished so far. Be proud of the successes you've had! I used to tell people I sat with that it was a matter of being stubborn. The weight, by nature is stubborn. It throughs us challenges. These challenges pose a threat to success but these challenges are surmountable. Get stubborn! Be more stubborn than the plateau...be stubborn and keep trying and you will succeed. Have you ever hear the song "Tubthumpers"? If you can listen to it...it says "I get knocked down, but I get back up. No you're never going to keep me down." Get back up! If you try one more time than the times you've failed you'll end up a success. |

treese97, For the gold plan, the servings are generally 6 ounces for lean proteins like white meat chicken and 4 ounces for less lean choices. Vegetables are 1/2 cup cooked or a cup raw on all the plans. I would suggest to you though...if you go on Ebay there is typically someone selling the menu plans...they're usually pretty cheap. |

Hi Razz. My husband is around 5"11. He does exercise in the gym. He said he wouldn't be one that would do any bars. Thanks for your help! |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 3 months ago |
anointedone123, Do a FastForward. Unlimited green vegetables, unlimited protein, 4 oranges. For the boredom, do you have the LA cookbook? If not, you can either go on Ebay and buy one...I've seen them available there. Another thing you can do is take a regular cookbook and replace things like regular cheese with the no fat kind...use skim milk when it calls for milk, etc. When you do this it makes telling what to count it as more difficult. Weigh the protein portion and "eye it" with the veggies. If you're keeping a close count on the protein and fat you should do fine. Another reason this is good is it prepares you for maintenence when you move away fom counting. Also, don't be too hard on yourself when you slip. Just pick up and go from that point on. If you slip once in a day the day can still be good. |

treese97, Does your husband exercise more than 5 hours per week? If he does he needs the Red plus plan if he doesn't he should be on the red plan. This would be until he gets to 220 then his plan would change. Red Plus: 2 1/2 protein
Red: 2 1/2 protein

oh, i forgot to add that i walk 2 miles a day on the treadmill and i mile on the bike. my husband needs help too. he's 6'9 and weigh 320. i've read how supportive u are and i admire that in a world where everyone is looking out for themselves and always rushing. so for my future weight loss and for all the other people you're helping....THANKS |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 3 months ago |
colethia, Do you have lites or are you going to use a replacement bar? If so, purple plan is fine. If you're not using lites or a replacement then do red. Purple: 2 protein
For red add 1/2 protein and 1 starch Generally protein servings are 8 ounces if lean like white meat chicken, 6 ounces if not so lean Your husband can do either red (if using bars) or red 1. Red 1 adds an additional dairy and fat to red. If you want the actual books, I've seen them for sale on Ebay |

i dont have any lites, so which one do u think will make me loose more weight? if i need to get lites for better results then i will. so let me know if i should get them.....thanks |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 3 months ago |
anointedone, Are you weighing and measuring? Are you getting enough variety? How long are you out of bed before you eat your first thing? Give me 2 or 3 days out of your diary. This will help me figure out what's wrong. |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 3 months ago |
colethia, The lites are really more of a personal choice than anything else. They do help people with cravings for sweets because they're sweet but other than that they don't really help the weight loss. |
|

anointedone, Poptarts are a no during weight loss...you can have them in stabilization. Homemade bread 1 slice would be 1 starch. To decide how big a slice would be weigh a piece of store bought bread and you can have a piece of the same weight. |
|
anointedone123 in Utica, New York 2 months ago |
hi raz, thank you for that about the poptart and the home made bread i just don't want to mess up anymore i want to do the right thing thanks and you will be hearing from me god bless anointedone |
|
anointedone123 in Utica, New York 2 months ago |
hi raz, just one question can i have popcorn god bless anointedone |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 2 months ago |
anointedone, Yes you can have popcorn. 3/4 C. is one starch (I know that isn't much) If you want, you can have the Smartfood cheese popcorn...the 100 calorie pack would be a starch |
|
anointedone123 in Utica, New York 2 months ago |

anointedone, The cookies are a no during weight loss but something that you can add during maintenence. But, the popcorn and crackers are ok...both would be a starch |

hi raz, you did mean the 100 calorie snacks the crackers and the popcorn i won't do it all the time just sometimes what about the chips that is 100 calories is that ok oh how many times can you do the fastfoward or the takeoff god bless anointedone |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 2 months ago |
anointedone, Yes the crackers and the popcorn...100 calorie...count as a starch |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 2 months ago |
sandy1, Do the purple with the lites until you reach 189. As far as what to take for the supplements...I don't know. Xcel's main active ingredients were gurana and green tea extract. Reduce + was conjugated linoleaic acid (sp?), and carb enders had white kidney bean extract. Other than listing ingredients I don't know what to tell you. I have not learned about the various supplements on the market. |

FANTASTIC web site!!! My daughter and I had excellent results on LA Weight Loss Plans a few years back and slipped into old habits -we are both restarting today. So glad to find this site! Can you give the order of plans going down from Red1, Red, ?, ?, etc. and at what approximate weight you switch from each plan based on under 5 hours a week of exercise and not using any lites or protein bars? If it's over 5 hours of week of exercise do you just move up one plan? |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 2 months ago |
Maureen, In order to be able to give you what plan you should be on and the times to move to the next plan I need to know your height and weight and the same for your daughter. |

Okay ladies, you have truly made my year. I moved to Alabama after a very unpleasant divorce and there are no LAWL centers in the area and at this point if there were I would not be able to afford it. I know the plans and have spent the last 2 hours pouring over and printing all of the old comments posted here but my problem is that I don't have any material left. My ex threw it all away. When I started the plan in Jan 07 I was 279 lbs and 5'3.5" tall. Yes as round as I was tall. :( I did the plan for 7 months and lost 80 lbs. I kind of got discouraged because I hit a plateu and could not lose any weight no matter how hard I tried. After a few more months of half hearted attempts I quit the plan and have gained back 40 lbs. I have found out that I have a thyroid issue and that is the reason I could not lose any more weight than I did and now that is in the process of being corrected I would love to get back on the plan. I do have a cookbook but for the life of me cannot remember some of the basics like what are condiments and how many crackers are in 1 startch. Anyone know where I can get my hands on any color plan book? I tried calling my old center in SC and no one would even return my calls. |

razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 2 months ago |
anointedone, Any popcorn or crackers (100 calorie) the cookies are still off limits until maintenence. |
