What the heck? Is it just Pure that went under? Can those of us who signed up in June 07 under LAWL get help from this site?

in some cases they are the same company. it depends on whether the specific center you are talking about is franchise or not, although the centers in the Cleveland area (I believe) were all corporate.

if you signed up in june and are entitled to a refund, the pure weightloss site has a refund form you can fill out, but I would also contact your state attorney general along with the PA attorney general to file a complaint.

I sent my letter in requesting a refund form on January 8, 2008 & received it back in the mail "Return to sender Not deliverable as addressed" on January 31, 2008. I mailed it to the address that was on the recording. I signed up for a 3 year program. I paid on it monthly for almost a year & now I'm not sure if I will get my money back. I am so disappointed. I lost over 100 pounds 4 years ago with LAWL & had gained some of my weight back so I joined again Feb. 2007. I wish I could understand why Pure WL even bothered to buy these centers only to close them 3 months later. All the centers in the Dallas, Texas metroplex are closed. I have called them all. There is an LAWL in Sherman, TX which I went to about 2 weeks ago to talk to them. They say they are owned by the company & they would consider taking me on as a client but I cannot find my contract & they have never called me back or check on anything I requested them to do with their home office. They told me at that center that the entire diet has changed & they said they do not have the Red,Purple,Blue,yellow....plans anymore. Is that true? I have 2 bottles of juice & bought a lot of bars from the & know the program well & I am going to just get back on it & hope this blog can give me some support so I can finish losing my weight.

just found out in dec they were closing office in vienna wv down
we still had maintenance to go...
signed paper work for a refund but doesnt look like we will receive anything..
alot of people in our area lost a lot of money thru this..
i think it was bad business management ..

The Pure Wght Loss refund form she is referring to is null and void. Won't help you at all, unfortunately. They get returned in the mail b/c they don't care about us, the clients. I got a dispute form from my Care Credit card, then wrote a letter and copied every single charge I made with them and mailed it out certified mail today. They told me they'd put my charges on hold until they decide what they are going to do since Pure went under. I think Care Credit is as screwed as we are. Do you know how many of us charged thousands of dollars to Care Credit and never received our services and products? Too many to count.
