Purple no lite plan: 2 protein, 4 vegetable, 3 fruit, 2 starch, 1 fat, 1 dairy The proteing size is 6 oz instead of 4 oz for beef and 8 oz instead of 6 oz for chicken. *** There are NO drops from purple no lite plan ****

Red no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 3 fruit, 3 starch, 1 dairy, 1 fat
Protein serving on red is the same as purple

Red 1 no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 4 fruits, 4 starch, 2 dairy, 1 fat

If you were on green or gold, move to purple. If you were on purple, move to red. And if you were on red, move to red 1.

The drop sequence can not be posted as easily. It is based upon your height and ideal weight. But, I can tell you that if you are following the plan and you reach a plateau that won't break odds are you might be near a drop point. When deciding if you will make the drop be honest with yourself about how well you are following the plan. If you're following it exactly then try the drop.

Thank you so much for this info. I started the program about 6 weeks ago and have lost about 15 pounds. I like this program and have found it easier to follow than weight watchers. I went by the center today and was surprised to see it closed and even more surprised to learn that the company has gone under. I plan on continuing the program by myself. Once I run out of the Lites, I plan on shooping around for other bars out in the market for a similar combo of cals/protien,fat, etc. I am grateful that you have put up the exchanges, but since I am new to the program, I don't really understand how it works. Can you provide any more info? Specifically, when does one go from one level to another? Is it when one reaches a certain weight? Thanks in advance for any more info you can provide.

Yes, it has to do with when you reach a certain weight. What plan are you on? How tall are you? I'll do my best to help you out.

If you were on purple with the lites you should move to red with no lites. The move back to purple at 137 pounds. There are not any more drops after purple without the lites.

Thank you very much for your help. This makes sense now! I'll switch from purple with lites to the red with no lites when I run out in the next week or two. If I can ever get to 137, I'll go back to purple (no lights). I have a sweet tooth for chocolate, so I'll miss the lites when they are gone. I saw a bunch of lites, etc. on ebay, but I am not sure whether I'll go that route. Again, thank you!

Not a problem I'm glad I could help. I left Pure in September. I would not have stayed as long as I did but I enjoyed helping the clients. Good luck!

STABILIZATION:

WEEK 1:
ADD 1 FAT SERVING (choose unsaturated, monosaturated and polyunsaturated most commonly found in vegetable and fish oils such as salmon, olives, nuts

WEEK 2:
ADD 1 FRUIT & 2 VEGETABLE SERVINGS (darker fruits/vegetables are richer in antioxidants; those with skin or seeds are higher in fiber)

WEEK 3:
ADD 1/2 PROTEIN and 1 CONDIMENT (applys to green, gold, purple only)

WEEK 4:
ADD 1 STARCH (choose complex carbs such as oatmeal, whole grain cereal. Complex carbs are higher in fiber which aid in digestion, helps keep you full and may also protect against high cholesterol levels and stabilize elevated blood sugar levels)

WEEK 5:
ADD 1 DAIRY (nonfat and lowfat)

WEEK 6:
Go to the maintenance guide. Add exercise to your regimen. Most will live on the purple plan (with no bars) after they've reached their goal.

I was following the purple plan WITH Lites
and they switched me to the YELLOW with lites and NOW I AM NOT losing, what should I do???? I don't have the red book to follow. Hope someone can help.

If you were on yellow (gold) with lites switch back to purple if you are not using the lites. Follow it exactly as written in the book except for the lites. If you don't have the book the exchanges are as follows:

2 Protein (2 oz bigger than on yellow)
4 vegetables
3 fruit
2 starch
1 dairy
1 fat

LA Lites = LUNA Bars in composition (the Luna even taste like the Choc Raspberry & the Key Lime. Sort of.)

Take Off Drink = Hollywood 48 hour Miracle Diet (you can get it at your pharmacy or grocery store) It's cheaper too... **

** & YES I DID buy it/drink it while on the LA Wgt Loss Program. Paid 16.00 instead of 25.00, & now I am glad ! It's a small consolation.

Good luck everyone!
PS anyone have a clue what supplements in lieu of the XCel and CarbEnders?

I myself take Andrew Lessman's nutritional
supplements, they are expensive BUT I only
take the calcium with Vitamin D and the
womens multi vitamin...If ayone knows of any
ones that we should be taking and won't
interfear with our weight loss would be great. Thanks again

The Reduce Plus contained CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). I take CLA on my own, with every meal. 1000 mg geltabs--they are huge. CLA makes the fat cells shrink. FYI: research any supplement at www.lef.org. They've got the best info.

I hit "reply" to the incorrect post. Sorry! This is for AnnQ:

If you like Dairy Queen blizzards, I concocted one for myself instead of buying the slimdowns. Ingredients: 8 oz skim milk, 3 Tbls. peanut butter (natural is best), 1 or 2 Tbls. SF chocolate syrup. Freeze 4 oz. of the skim milk in an ice tray (I had to purchase a special one because milk sticks in plastic!). Then blend the frozen milk with 4 oz. milk, and the remaining ingredients. It's very yummy. Hope this helps.

Trisha1960: I used to take a calcium/vitamin D supplement but had problems eliminating. I then changed to a calcium/vitamin D/magnesium supplement and everything changed! Everything worked fine. Magnesium will aid in losing if you're retaining in that "area" (as does the calcium). Hope this helps.

I am on maintanace since March 2007 and have maintained my goal weight, I'm actually 10 lbs. under goal weight. :)

I have been taking the LAWL supplements.

Is there anything I can get from GNC that is equivalent to Excel, Reduce Plus, Carb Enders, etc?

I don't know anything about Excel or Carb Enders because I couldn't take either of them (medical reasons). CLA is the same thing as Reduce Plus. I've been taking CLA for a couple of years and my doctor approves of it.

I was told by the customer service with LA

go to the carb cravers, then it kicks the
weight loss into gear again....But I don't do the cheating to often....

I've heard that the LUNA bars are close but the taste isn't as good. You can either use the LUNA bars or, if you don't like them, move back to the purple plan without the lites once you run out.

Yes I thought about doing the purple plan
without the bars, BUT they have me so spoiled, because it is like eating a candy bar almost. What would be good to eat if you would get the craving for something sweet. I know that heating up the apples with splenda and sugar are very satisfying, but even that could get old after awhile...

Look at your condiments and get creative.

Mix lite chocolate syrup with skim milk and allow to freeze.

Pour lite chocolate syrup over 1/2 a small banana

Dip strawberries into lite chocolate syrup

Frozen grapes can be a neat sweet treat

I love this diet and have never control my binge eating until this. Iam going to miss the centers. I love the help I have been reading on this site. I have a question; I am on Blue plan because I exercise. I have lost 4o pounds so far about another 20 to go. Will I stay on Blue or will I ever drop or move up? the center say I will stay at Blue but since they are closing I thought I would ask a second opinion. also can fat free mayo be used as a condiment?

Tracey,

If you still have lites stay on blue, there are not any drops unless you decrease your exercise. If you are out of lites, switch to the red no lite plan which is:

2 1/2 Proteins (portions are 2 oz. bigger)
4 vegetables
3 fruit
3 starch
1 dairy
1 fat

Also, non-fat mayo is not a condiment during weight loss. But, you can use it in maintenance.

I am very upset about the closing of Pure Weight Loss. I am owed 19 boxes of Lites and I don't think I will be seeing them. Anyway, I was reading the blogs and I read something about them recently changing from a color plan to a number plan, and that 2 slices of lite bread counted as one starch on the number plan vs. 1 slice on the color plan. Does anyone know about this, and if so, how to get those books?
Thanks!

I don't know what is happening BUT I have been following my
plan which was the purple with lites, and went to the gold
and I haven't lost a thing since the week after Thanksgiving
and I was not cheating then and I am not cheating now. I am
getting so FRUSTRATED to say the least. I bought extra Lite
bars on Ebay to keep me going, BUT can someone please please
please help me I don't know what to do to get off this what
I think is a BAD PLATEAU !!!!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated. I went back to the purple plan and
that did not jump start me into losing again, I do think I
am still losing inches and I walk EVERYDAY, for 2 to 3 miles.
I lift weights every other day, and it is just 3 lb weights
I am just doing that for toning not to build bulk...Okay so
if anyone has any suggestions please let me know thanks.
I am considering Weight Watchers BUT hate that plan...

Trisha, Are you working out? If you're adding muscle that would be an easy explanation for why you're losing inches but not weight. Muscle does weigh more than fat, but it takes up less than half the room.

Barb, A drop is the term for when you should change plans. If you tell me your height, weight, and what plan you were on I can give you the appropriate plan without the lites and also tell you when you should "drop" to the next plan. Hope this helps!
