Billiken_Grad in Maryland Heights, Missouri said: Have your heard anything back re your w-2..my girlfriend was an employee and she hasn't received hers as of yet. I've been trying to get a hold of someone who knows anything (her coworkers have all received theirs) but it has been all dead ends. Please Help!!! I can be reached at billiken_grad@yahoo.com I recommend that you call the IRS. The W2 is an IRS document, and they should have record of your earnings along with the tax id of Pure Weight Loss, which I understand is needed as well. I'm sure if you call them and explain the situation, they will be able to help you. Good luck! |

I've been trying to get a hold of someone who knows anything (her coworkers have all received theirs) but it has been all dead ends. Please Help!!! I can be reached at billiken_grad@yahoo.com i think just about everyone has received their w2's already. I bet the company had the employees bust their butts to get them out ASAP.. and then.. those employees were laid off. In the meantime, I agree with the former response.. The IRS gets a copy of all the w2's. Problem being is that they will probably tell you that you have to wait a certain length of time. My suggestion.. Coming from a woman who worked in the tax industry for about 9 years... FILE ON YOUR LAST CHECK STUB (if you have it.) All the info is there. If you receive the W2.. it'll probably match... if your amounts are off from that having been received by the IRS.. they'll adjust your refund and send you a letter accordingly. If you file electronically, chances are you won't need a copy of the w2 submitted to the IRS anyway. They usually just have you keep it for your own records.. Hope this helped! |

Is anyone from the toledo ohio area? I was away from my center for a few months and ran in to someone who went to the same center. They informed me that they were closed now. If you go to the pure weight loss website it says toledo centers are not affected. Thats a lie!! they are all closed. no one from the center contacted me at all and they owe me atleast $800. I have the refund sheet now and will turn it in. does anyone know if they are really refunding money? |

I left the company last year in June, and didn't even KNOW that they weren't LAWL anymore, but "Pure" WL. Heh, "pure" b.s. alright... Anyhoo, I haven't received my W2 form either, and I'm out here in California. Tried calling HR, obviously no one's there. Tried contacting ADP; got referred to Jackson Hewitt or one of their other "tax preparation partners". Spoke to Jackson Hewitt; found out their "mission" this tax prep year is to NOT prepare taxes based on a person's last paycheck stub, or prior year W2 return, and cannot download an ADP W2 Form without your last paycheck stub (which I cannot find.) Even tried to email the IRS; perhaps will receive a response in the year 2009. Lord, I just want my W2 Form !!! =X Any other ideas, I'm open. |

Sorry about that, it seems if you haven't gotten you may not get it. An manager that I worked with from another center is having problems getting her's as well. All ADP would say is that their client is protected and that they can't help employees, which I believe is illegal. They have to provide your information to you.

Diana why don't you say who you are! You worked in Michigan and did absolutely nothing the whole time you were there !! The center went from 17000 per week to 2500 when you took over- No wonder you have nothing better to do than blame la/pure for your failure now that they are gone- I would investigate "whatever" it is you think we did to you- the only thing I can think we are guilty of is keeping an underperformer who brought us down! Get a life! YOU LEFT BEFORE WE CLOSED- MOVE ON!! FORGET ABOUT PURE AND LA ... WE FORGOT ABOUT YOU AS SOON AS YOU LEFT! |
|
OneinMI in Portage, Michigan 10 months ago |
Hey Jen been over la/pure for a long time, went before the ship sank. To bad you are one who helped it sink. When I came in the place was a hole. To bad you never came to the center to see! You need to find a job and get over your oversized head! |

I totally agree with you. I am not here to attack like some people here. I am only here to help others. I have a lot of friends out there who lost their jobs. What I really want to know how many center mangagers out there worked 50 plus hours a week got paid $300 a week? The reason I asked is they paid all of us managers wrong by the laws. Based on the way they paid us we should of only worked a 40 hour week and no more. I thought something was fishy when they changed us to no less the $450 a week. I questioned it and was shrugged off. I went to the federal labor board and they contacted me today and said that the company is at fault. I do have a case against them. I have spoken to a lawyer. I want to get as many managers out there that I can so we can possibly set up a class action against VK. We would be the first paid as a creditor. FYI Center Managers |

I was a center manage and am upset about the recent events. One thin I do realize is that we cant get blood out of a stone, and if we stay angry the only one hurt will be us. I loved my job and my clients and was good at it. I refused to do the ruthless selling that they required and didnt sell at all in the final weeks. I took care of my people as well as I could, Locked the door and walked away. Bigger and better things are to come. I made some wonderful friends and will always be grateful for that. Move forward. |

I was an assistant manager at a center making hourly and they offered me a position as a manager saying I would make soo much more then I was making when I was just an assistant, boy were they wrong...I made the $300/week plus they cut my sales percentages when they started going down. I was working open to close by myself in the center with not even a break. Let me know what I have to do to get in on this class action suit for managers! |

Well if you worked over 40 and you did not make $450 with your commissions then you take the hours you worked over. By the laws from the federal government. So the weeks that we did not make that amount of $450 and we were only getting the 300 and not making the money with the commissions up to or over the $450 we were underpaid by the laws.

phoenix risen in The City by the Bay, California said: Hello! New to the Mayhem. I contacted ADP, the post office, and the IRS. ADP would not help because of a privacy contract they have with their clients. There is an IRS form that you can fill out is Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. Even if your W-2 is not received you still have to file your taxes on time. The first date to fill out this form is 02/15/08. |

Obviously, this is one the reasons that the company went in the toilet - Vahan's assistants were idiots! |

And he also mentioned that if funds cannot be collected this way, to send him proof of purchase( receipt, copy of payment(check, credit card bill) and any invoices you have and he will see if there is anohter way.

Hi to all
This office acts as attorney for the state and its agencies and is prohibited by law from action on behalf of private citizens. Private rights may be asserted with the assistance of a private attorney or, when appropriate, in small claims court." I must say that the NYS Attorney general is A LOT MORE HELPFUL!!
This is also old news but I have to include it.
