It is a scam!! If you are a client..REQUEST A REFUND NOW!!! i am ex-employee and they have no intent to let this out until after the fact that they file for bankruptcy on Jan. 5th!!!!! They told us to keep this "Hush Hush" so they do not have to give the current clients refunds and to still try to get new clients to sign up!! Oh, and by the way, did you know that they only hire thin, attractive women to work there? Sure, you might see us snacking on a "La Lire bar" but when you are sitting there for hours without a break, what else are you going to eat?! You have to sit there...waiting for your "prey" to walk through the door. You get calls from upper management...yes..the ones driving Merecedes, BMW's, Jags......asking what you sold and how much. and then you have the goal....centers have to make so many thousands of dollars a week..no matter what it takes....Well, I am here to tell you now...REFUND YOUR MONEY! These big wigs think that they are banking on you....the people that want to lose weight.. They are worried about their commission at this point. They are going to try to get all that they can at this point. They were making millions...I could name 3 of them right now......All I am saying is that if you are a client, request a refund. If you know someone that is...PLEASE TELL THEM!!!!! This could mean thousands of dollars to someone! Time is limited! Do something now!!

I sure hope this isnt they way you talked to your employees. Sorry you feel it is whining to expect to be paid what you worked for. Perhaps you should look at the current economy of the country. Unemployment will not pay the bills for most of us. You have no idea what some of us will be doing to pay the bills. I for one will be working two jobs. In my past life i had a high level position with a very well know high end fashion manufacturer but had to give it up and move cross country when a tragedy hit my family. Now I am sure you see this explanation as whining but it is not. Just trying to open your eyes that people do have real problems and are doing what they have to to survive. It is sad that you have no compassion for others. Let me recommend a great movie for you to watch this time of year. "A Christmas Carol" I for one prefer the one with George C Scott. Ok, its official. Pure Weight Loss will be closed Jan 4,2008. But I am an employee until they let me go. But how can u say that we dont care about our clients? We sell products that help, and if they dont, DONT BUY THEM. But with weight loss its trial and error, because-NEWS FLASH_ everybody is different. Ive seen several clients lose weight to their goal, and I always cared. Its been something Ive had to focus on my whole life, and thats why I loved the industry. Im sorry that you feel that way, but then again you never met any of us who DO CARE.

So is there any reason you cannot post how to do the plan without the bars. We know that there is a plan with bars for those that are allergic to soy protein. What's a good bar alternative to fight the cravings? (even though it won't taste as good). Post all the different plans colors (# of starches, proteins, veggies, fruits, etc.). Post when clients should move from one plan to next. This is the kind of productive information clients want. They don't need loyal & angry employees taking jabs at each other. The company said in a press release that they want to help clients to be successful independently. (google pure weight loss closing and you can find the press release on one of the news stations). So show us that the company is going to stand behind it's press release.

Most of the people in my market have quit, but I will stay.Until they lay me off....somebody's gotta give answers, right? Ill tough it out and do what I can...FOR MY CLIENTS. I will get yelled at by the clients, because i understand. No, its not my fault, but I Love what I do, and as a single mom, I got 4 kids to feed. I don't remember all the specifics but do suggest clients look at the content of the bars and try to find something very close. I know a no lite plan goes up one from where you are expample: Red to Red 1 but not sure what the actual differences is. You never go lower than purple. As one who has struggle with weight loss most of my life I encourage all the clients to never give up. You can do it!

Do you mind posting the different plans. I remember purple and yellow. Most people end up on yellow as they near their goal.

I wish I had brought them home with me. I do know for a fact if you are currently on Yellow you go back to purple with no lites as does green. Purple to red and red to red1 etc. I hope someone has the info they can post in detail.

I am devastated for my staff (11 centers) but most importantly the clients. Have you no remorse for what has happened? I am very pleased that you were not one of my staff members as with your attitude, you would have been gone a very long time ago. VK fell in the category of "EF Hutton" all of these years. No longer, I stand up to him now. Take notice how he is cowering behind the "skirts"? I have relocated to several states throughout the years, without blinking an eye. Why? I loved my job, my staff and especially my clients. Needless to say, I trusted my company and did work side by side with all... E,LT,D,PH,CM,DR and VK! I successfully ran your market back in the day. I was sent on a goose chase to the south 3 months ago, moved my family, locked into a mortgage and here we are...STUCK! Face it, the company is bankrupt! Check into the federal court system and you'll find it. If in fact you were / are an official high management member, then allow these people in this forum their freedom to vent. I intended to walk my newest clients all the way thru to the end. I had every intention of congratulating them once they hit their goal. Unfortunately, I had to tell them otherwise. And..Oh the devastation in the face of the clients that have been leaning on us for the past three or four years. We had to send them on their way! They have been trained, they'll do fine. This is my heart! I am an educated woman... been in customer service a long time and this was the most rewarding job I have ever done. As the company began to struggle, I could feel it... I knew, but I stayed for my employees and for my clients. We loved our clients.. even the crazy ones!!

Purple no lite plan: 2 protein, 4 vegetable, 3 fruit, 2 starch, 1 fat, 1 dairy The proteing size is 6 oz instead of 4 oz for beef and 8 oz instead of 6 oz for chicken. *** There are NO drops from purple no lite plan ****

Red no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 3 fruit, 3 starch, 1 dairy, 1 fat
Protein serving on red is the same as purple

Red 1 no lite plan: 2 1/2 protein, 4 vegetables, 4 fruits, 4 starch, 2 dairy, 1 fat

If you were on green or gold, move to purple. If you were on purple, move to red. And if you were on red, move to red 1.

The drop sequence can not be posted as easily. It is based upon your height and ideal weight. But, I can tell you that if you are following the plan and you reach a plateau that won't break odds are you might be near a drop point. When deciding if you will make the drop be honest with yourself about how well you are following the plan. If you're following it exactly then try the drop.

Thank you!! I joined LaWL in July andhave lost 50lbs I started on purple and I am now on the gold plan my goal is to lose 99lbs and end up at 124lbs. I am so scared that I am not going to reach my goal. I had hit rockbottom when I joned the center and felt awful about myself I have worked so hard and need to make it the rest of the way. Hey brokenhearted I just came from the store I was let go on 12/12 and I am embarresed to see any clients in public right now b/c they loved me I was with the co. since 1997 Quick Weight Loss---LA Weight Loss---Pure Weight Loss. I truly feel all the employees that were still there to the end wanted to save the co. but it was too late there was already a damaged reputation media, internet, upset clients, and let us face there so much more competion now then there was in 1989 Medical Weight Loss. I think if we also had better commercials we would of been fine the phones were not ringing as often. As for you follow your current plan and do take off one time every 2 weeks or even when you need a cleanse of course 8-10 waters daily. The most important thing is a diary write down your food choices, 10 motivational factors, physical activity, and emotions. Surround yourself with positive people--you will be positive--surround yourself with negative people--you will be negative. Do not just talk the talk walk the walk. I hope this will motivate and help you. PEACE

I was both a client and a employee. I became a client in feb. After looking into gastric bypass I thought I would check into LA Weight Loss I watched the comercials for yrs on my east coast station and was happy to hear it finally made it to California. I have since lost 75bls and still loseing. I became an enployee in june because I love the program. This is a business and I had no problem selling any of the products and program. Because I believed in it so much. Then all of a sudden Oct our hours where cut and employees were layed off. Only 2 people per center. I stayed on because I wanted our clients to see a face they have been seeing. As centers after centers closed down we were told we would not be closeing. We all saw the writing on the wall but, kept hope alive. I got my call on Dec 7th that our center will be closed down on Dec 14th call clients box files and try to do all this within less then 20 hrs when I added this all up. I tryed my best to contact clients but didn't even get through have of the ones I see most of the time. To top it off many of my clients did not take all the bars assuming the way the sign read that they would get phone counseling and product delivered to their door. But, one of my clients was told to pick it up from the center. I didn't have enough to even cover my clients. I have lost sleep over this I geel terible that I had no time to contact all my clients and may never see my final check. I had a question how was the final check delivered by regular mail or fedX? I not sure if they even have my street address for FedX.

I got my by Fed X. It came a week later than promised (my center closed 12/8) It is short about 60. I was paid for 48 hrs when I worked 53 (2wks) and did not get commission for my last week. I called payroll and HR a total of 5 times and no one will return my calls. I hope you have better luck.

I am appalled at some of the postings listed....Pure Weight Loss IS closing, but by no means is upper management telling us to continue selling the program, etc. In fact, quite the opposite. I had to yank some of my girls out of appointments so that they WEREN'T selling the program/products. We are ALL trying to expedite refunds in the quickest, most convenient way possible and/or equip our clients with product they are owed. I hold an upper management position with the company and all of my dealings with superiors has been nothing but positive. And for all of you who about the sales tactics, get over it!!! Obviously it is a sales job. It does not say "FREE WEIGHT LOSS" above the doors.....
I have researched other programs and costs, etc. and Pure had the BEST program at the most affordable price. The only thing is, our program is a PAY UP FRONT program. That is to make our clients more accountable, thus making them more successful. There is not a magic pill that clients can take to make them thin. It does take effort and I think that is why people get so upset.

I hope they have my street address. Since where I live we use only our p o box and I really not sure if I gave my street address when I was employed. If it is ruturned to them I may never see the money I earned. I work alot of overtime and sold tons of product this last week. I think the centers that are closeing now have more time than I did to let the clients know. The program, the clients, and the people I had worked with were wonderful except for one person I worked with. The company has no compassion for any of these people. I too run into many clients when I am out. I hope the ones I didn't have a chance to contact will understand what had happened. Everyone that did make it in were very nice and felt bad for me. I want to thank those clients and hope all my clients will forgive me for not having the time to contact them. I wish I was given more time for them. I also understand how it is to be a client I paid for a two year program and have only used 10 months.

The program seems great, but the company doesn't seem to get a lot of people coming in.
I was told that I may have to put in more than 40hr a work week and I was fine with that, I just hope that it pays off in the end!

I am sick over the company closing. It is the best program out there. Hey, Belleville, I know who you are lol Thanks for hanging in there with us. It has been a tough few days telling our clients and staff. I will post tomorrow night how to follow the plan without lites as well as the menu plan drops using the lites as well. As you may be able to tell I am still employeed until the end which we are told is 1/4 I want to make sure my clients are taken care of and have the tools they need to continue this on their own. The hardest part of this is, I love my clients and my staff. There has never been a day in 7 years that I did not look forward to going to work. That is hard to find these days.

I do understand some of the bitter feelings.. the hours were long and sometimes we were expected to be there alone etc. No, that part was not fun. Try not to hold a grudge. It will do no good,.
