I still have the books with the plan to prove the number of starches.. the bread, the fat and the dairy. LA did not refer to the diet by color only Pure. Yes, the Pure plans did not include more than 1 dairy, 1 fat and the breads were different. If you think I am giving out wrong info then maybe LA Weight Loss gave out different plans in different areas. Go back and check the LA plans and compare them to Pure...they are not the same.Yes, I did lose on the LA plan that was given to me. The center I went to was a franchise that was bought out by Pure in late July early Aug. and the plan was different!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm done.

Well that explains it - LA Franchise is a different company than LA Corporate, and I worked for Corporate. They must have changed their programs after the company split in 2004. Corporate centers always only had color plans. So we're both correct - settle down. There's no need to get snippy here - we're all trying to help.

Pure weight loss has posted new information on their website regarding places that are picking up the mess they made, this is the information they are providing to us because as they put it on their website –“Because Pure Weight Loss is truly concerned for the continuing well being and weight loss success of our clients, we are working together with other weight loss companies in an effort to find ongoing weight loss support so that their weight loss success is not interrupted“. If they were so concerned about it then why don’t they post information regarding the program we paid for?

NYS clients- take a look at your contract under the Important Notice section, now what do you think. This company is gone, you many never get your money. File a complaint with your state attorney general and their PA headquarters Attorney general, what is going on is fraud and the CEO should be banned from ever opening another business, we must do all we can together to make sure he is stopped. By the way, I have gathered evidence from many sources, proving that Pure Weight Loss was not intended to last.
They stopped paying their Con Edison bill (electricity) in a certain NYC location, and they never fixed flood damage that left the center with no wall!

Anybody know anything about FAMILYWEIGHTLOSSCENTERS.COM ???? Type in your zip code and you will get a Pure Weight Loss center address….someone’s obviously not covering all corners and shutting things down properly if they forgot to take down this site!

I couldn't agree more! PH was a lovely person. When I met her I understood why she was such a success. She was down to earth, caring and sincere. She ran her business with both her heart and her brain, both were always in the right place. I always looked up to her as a peer and a role model. She will be successful in whatever she does, and so will we!

About take shape for life you have to pay a fee of $299 dollars to become an independent health care coach with them and you earn 20% commission on all products you sell, this is in my opinion just putting money into their pockets and they are preying on ALL pure weight loss employees to join their company hummmm......... let me see get all of Pures employees to join at 299 per person look who's making money off of our POOR backs!! I offer a legit business to help others lose their weight and you do not need to pay for any products, this in my opinion is the RIGHT way to to help others achieve their goals and from someone who REALLY CARES! I have a passion for helping people loss weight because I lost 200 pounds myself of which I did not use ANY PRODUCTS to accomplish this!! The mark up on the products they sell is HUGE!! These companies have only one goal in their mind and it is not your weight it is their profit!! I understand any business needs to make a profit and very well should!! but make your profit being HONEST!! and really helping others achieve their TRUE potential without all that processed food you sell!!

Hey Holly--I miss you already!!
I worked right up to the very end. I never got the boxes promised to ship back the client files but when I talked to MR on Friday I agreed to start boxing them in product boxes to get shipped back. Between taking care of clients on Friday, making calls to clients who had not yet come in for products and entering everything in the computer, I was there until 2:20PM. I was then going to finish the boxing of the files and then deliver the boxes to the UPS center, BUT I check the e-mail from corporate and they said NO ONE WOULD BE PAID PAST 2PM. Wow-one more kick in the head. I had already put in 10-15 extra unpaid hours this past week trying to help clients, so I left the boxes as they were, turned down the heat, turned off the lights and left. There was still a small pile of files not entered in the computer but I just couldn't do any more.

I am now going to do some weight loss coaching out of my home office along with my other business. I must find some health insurance since the company cut us off on Dec. 31st even though I was told we'd have it until Jan 31st if we stayed to help. I stayed and did my best for the clients, not for the company who was cheating everyone. They refused to pay vacation time and sick time to anyone laid off and those of us who lost our insurance were told we could not get cobra insurance coverage since the company is out of business.

I do hope the VK is watched like a hawk so he doesn't rip off anyone else. It seems like the rich poeple can get away with almost anything and land on their feet while the middle class and poor go on working their butts off for crumbs.

I actually liked PH and NG, I just didn't like it when they decided you were out of the so called "PH & NG Club", and that's what happend to a few trainers and Area Managers, who were really good people too and didn't deserve to be treated that way. And yes, I was called and asked to attend the send off party, And I wish them both much success as I do everyone who lost their job, because to work the way we did, you had to love it.

Please note that Fox News wrote a story on 1/4/2008 about the closing of Pure Weight Loss Centers, but the story did not tell everything regarding how the centers were closed in such an abrupt manner or how their employees were caught blindsided and without last paychecks, etc. I wrote to Fox News and provided links to this forum and another news story by the Philadelphia Inquirer that was a bit more indepth. I told Fox News that I filed two complaints (health care related and consumer products related) to the Attorney General in Pennsylvania, as well as my Attorney General in Texas. I asked Fox to dig deeper into the story, I hope they will.
