Just curious, I never went to any of the Vegas trips, I only worked in the accounting department and we all know that department might have well not even existed in Vaughn's eyes (maybe if he paid more attention to his finances, everyone would still have their jobs). And, I probably know the answer alreday, but did his WIFE ever go on any of these Vegas adventures???

Loyal, I think we all as employees or ex employees have our own individual feelings and experiances with this company and most of us did what we thought was the right thing. With that said, you have to be delusional to believe that the higher ups were anything but corrupt and morally bankrupt liars. Please search your soul for reality. I was supposed to get 200.00 if I alone boxed up all of the client charts( in alphabetacle order) tape them up, to be shipped back to corp. I did this all in one day, because I had not received the shipping boxes, tape or labels. Now all of these boxed charts that I busted a move to complete ( in 10 hours might I add, but who cares at this point)are still sitting in a closed center. How much sense is that? Now, In regard to the healthcare packet, my full timer ( who didn't have medical through PWL, and was let go on 12/8) received a healthcare packet for continuation of benefits last Fri. 14. Strange?

If you hated it so much why did you stay for 2 years? LA/Pure is a wonderful comoany that afforded many people not only with a great life financially but also with more experience in sales and customer service than any other company out there... clearly you were just a bad hire!

All I can say is working with the clients was wonderful but with the owners not so much.

Here I sit at 3 a.m. unable to sleep, because I am soooooooooo stressed out, because I am out of work (abruptly, I might add). In Ca. there is a waiting period to receive a check from unemployment. I have interviews lined up, but they are not until after the holidays, and from what I found out out from AmeriHealth yesterday, will NOT be offered COBRA from PLW. So, for all intents and purposes, I guess that I am doing just outstanding! I am still waiting for my final check, but no one from payroll or H.R. will return my phone calls. All I want to say at this point is that I wish VK and the rest of his existing team an absolutly wonderful holiday season, and not to mention nights of restful sleep, because I made alot of money for you!

Hey everyone. I'm in a 12 hour a week center and as manager I am staying alone there until Jan. 4th. Has anyone else in this position been able to keep up with the stuff they want us to do. I don't know how I will ever do oz's, correct all client accounts in the computer and at the same time settle with everyone who is coming in. I also have not gotten that inventory order promised and I have nothing left to hand out. It is so sad. I go back and forth from the saddness of closing to the anger of being screwed over by the company.

Loyal Employee... please give these girls a break! The upper mgt. is the part of this company that didn't really work.. It is that attitude of yours.. "bad hire" that made people detest this company.

Bad hire... I know this is they way you all talked about us "lower level" people. I knew it! You could feel that trickle down effect.

You think VK is opening another business with you named as a corp officer. You think it's going to be smooth sailing. But we'll be looking and when VK does, we'll create suspicion right from the start with the media and www. Look out west! We'll be looking through the public records too to find his new name when he changes his name again. We'll be working with lawmakers to sponsor a bill that makes "pay up front" in a consumer environment unprotected by bankruptcy law.

The thing you need to know is that I have a mission. And it's to put unscrupulous businesses OUT OF BUSINESS. Call it anger if you want. I believe in consumer protection. I believe in high standards of ethical behavior. I BELIEVED in Pure/LA. But IT LIED TO ME. I will not be so naive ever again.

Consumers/Employees: WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMEN. Ask them to sponsor a bill that makes service fees paid up front unprotected by bankruptcy law. Ask them to hold the corporate officers personally liable. Ask them to make companies that request fees up front carry a hefty insurance policy to protect the consumers. More and more of these pay-up-front companies are popping up all over the U.S. and then going out of business. Not just in weight loss. The whole skin center (medspa) is pay up front too. Google how many shut down bilking people out of thousands. Then ask: Why does the largest, most successful GLOBAL weight loss company (WW) not ask for fees up front. (successful or not, the pure program was better)

And because the pure program was better, if it had been run properly, it would have stood the test of time. Vahan should have sold the company to someone that could do the job. But arrogance got in the way. The upper management is blind to their role in the demise of this company. They blame it on the front line efforts -- The employees in the centers. I know. I heard their bashing more times than I care to say. And yes, there were a handful of bad apples in the centers. But most of center staff were good people. They were not root of the problem. It started at the top. NOBODY could tell VK anything. When he had an idea -- right or wrong -- he was getting his way. And his senior staff was the same way.

No one in this forum is saying the program stinks. We all agree, it's the best out there. We don't agree with the way the company went down. It was WRONG. Anyway you look at it. And just so you know, I knew all the people that made decisions at corporate. It WAS a challenge to get anything done. And getting it done right, was not a priority. VK's #1 was to improve the bottom line. I don't fault him there. That's the job of a CEO. But I fault him on his management team and management style. VK REFUSED to listen. He IS and WAS arrogant. His senior management never told him the real problems and they are passing the buck onto the center staff. They did then and they're doing it now. Sorry Charlie. You may have been a manager but I was in corporate and I KNOW what really went down. And you'd be surprised how many higher ups check in to these forums. Don't fool yourself. They KNOW what's being said.

You should goto the local media my sister-in law works in a location here in NYC and she told me that no one is emailing her back or returning her calls, she is alone, mobs of clients are coming in. They want bars, she has none to give.
This is a serious siuation here, pray that no one ends their life from this experience!

Thanks for a positive response. I can not believe the craziness in this forum. Instead of bashing each other, try doing something productive. I have no choice than to go to someone who will "hear" my distress. I left my elderly parents (with whom I had been helping), my children and grandchildren. Why? So that maybe I could move further in the company and assist my family even more than I had. I believed in what I was doing was right and I believed that we were all hired for these positions for alot of reasons but the biggest...to help others! At least that was my job. I must say I was darn good at it also! Clients who followed me from center to center, top sales many, many times...why do I have to beg for what is owed to me? This money was pulled out of my pocket with a promise to reimburse. That's basically all that I need to bring closure to this insanity and move forward. Someone, please give me some kind of hope. A person can only take so much. Anyone else in my position? I know we are all in a horrible position but has anyone been transfered to another state, made a financial promise, within 2 weeks that promise was recinded, owed alot of expenses, locked into a lease with no job, no response from those who put me here! Where do I go? Julie, whoever you are, thank you for all of your information throughout this mess. SOMEONE DO THE RIGHT THING! This is definitely the 1st time in my life that I feel like a total fool for believing. By the way, the company does not make a "company" it those of us who have believed in what we were working for!
