What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does Quantum stack up against the competition?

Quite honestly, I wonder if the company will survive - it's my perception that Quantum is a top-heavy organization.
It seems every quarter or two, the guys at the top change the direction of the entire company. Acquiring this or that company (the acquired company's top management are then inserted in the Quantum hierarchy), getting rid of this or that division - but all the while never really giving the company a chance to combine/revise processes and gather/group the resources to create a really fine organization.
Working under these conditions was like trying to tread water while the next wave is crashing over you.

I really think they might "dump" what's left of the Boulder site. After that, who knows? They'll probably change directions again.
