Credential evaluation

I have a Bachelors degree in Microbiology and 1yr of Masters in Biotechnology. I do not carry much experience, except for some assistance during a PhD research. I am trying to look for employment and hear that credential evaluation is a must for employers.

Any pointers as to what type of evaluation is required will be appreciated. Are there any specific agencies that employers prefer or can it be with any agencies ?

This situation applies to graduates from schools outside the US.
I had to do an Academic evaluation for a government job.

You can find many such services on the internet. I picked one at random and I was very happy with the evaluation, accompanied by a synopsis of the educational system in the country I was born.

You'll see the various prices and options they offer.

One word of caution with picking one at random. Some employers require the evaluation from a specific agency. Just an FYI before you go and spend money on an evaluation.
