Happy Quest employee 60 months ago |
Everyone has a different opinion but I've been working at Quest Diagnostics for years and am very happy. There are so many employees there that have been there for over 10, 15 years. I scratch my head when I read negative posts because other employees around me are all happy and really enjoy their jobs. We get paid well and realize that there is a line of potential employees just waiting out there to replace us. I got in through a Job Fair that was held by Quest. It was just a quick screening for serious potential candidates and they gave me an appointment for an interview. I was interviewed by Human Resources over the phone, then in person by the department head for area I applied for. It took some thank you letters and voice mail messages but I was hired about 2 months later. The amount of people trying to work for Quest is amazing. Keep in mind that they are the largest commercial laboratory in the world! |

Quest Diagnostics may be one of the largest commercial laboratories, however, they do "just enough" to make themselves appealing to mainstream commercialism. Don't forget or maybe overlook that Surya is one of the highest paid CEO's in the US. He is literally bleeding the company to fund his lifestyle...look at the $200,000 write-offs he puts ANNUALLY under "MOVING EXPENSES". Also, look into how much you receive in GOAL SHARING v.s. how much your managers receive in MIP (MANAGEMENT IN PROGRESS). Perhaps you might be enlightened to find that they receive 5x's the amount annually in bonuses than you do. |

Work at a hospital or clinic where they don't seem to be able to get away with the unethical behaviors that Quest does. I worked for quest for 5 years and i would never advise anyone to work there. the supervisors do not stand behind you one bit. its a terrible place to work. |
