Are there any RGIS people out there from Riverside Co., West Covina, Upland - anywhere in San Bernardino Co. that have any coments, stories, etc. that you would like to share and scare? Could be fun since you don't know what to say to who at work. Here it can be done with no one knowing who any one is. Come on, you know you want to!!

Hi--from W. Covina and I know we work together quite a bit. I think this is great and hope more people throw in their thoughts and comments. Since our districts are so close I'm sure there is quite a bit we all can share and scare in, as you say.
Say, a few of us have heard rumors that 293 is not going to be giving out any more raises. Is there any truth to this? If so, that sure is a drag!

Hey West Covina, got a reply pretty quick, thanks. Nice to have email alert!
Unfortunately that is the word out on campus. Been there 16 months and can't squeeze a quarter an hour out of them. It's a dam shame cause there are quite a few people here that do enjoy this job and are willing to even show up at audits that aren't on their schedules. The "higher ups" don't leave much to be desired, but the friends that I have made are wonderful people. Such a shame that GREED (one of the seven deadly sins) can take people and twist them into such unfeeling and uncareing folks. I hear that things were so different years ago until the company was bought around '97 by a greedy s.o.b. How sad everyone above a gray shirt turned that way just for a job. Makes you wonder how they live with themselves. Is that really how they want their kids to see them when they start bring them in part-time to work. Hope those youngsters have a mind of their own. With a little consideration and just a touch of kindness and maybe a small raise once in a while showing appreciation, this company could be a joy to work for. Workers that have been there for years are all friendly and work together very well and would probably consider staying with the company many more years if things would change just a little. These people are dependable and reliable and enjoy working with their fellow workers that they have grown to know and love over time. You know, if they could just see through their greed, they would see that happy employees are a better working team and make everybody in the company look good. Instead of hiring and firing so many people, why not have alot of happy and satisfied employees that can be depended on to show up at audits and do the job right. It's a known fact that happy employees are a very large part of a company's success. RGIS could have great potential to be a fun and exciting place to work if only certain people would shed their greediness (to be continued)

and have a little consideration and thoughtfulness for it's employees. I tell you, Thomas J. Nicholson had a great idea when he started RGIS in 1958. But I bet he would be turning over in his grave if he knew how cold and heartless his family-run company has become since The B Group has stepped in with it's controling interest. But that's another story. I do believe that if the District Managers and Area Managers tried a little TLC with their groups of employees that they just might start to see a change for the better in the running of things. It sure couldn't hurt to try. Lord knows that getting upset and deciding that there will be no more raises given out doesn't seem to be working. Especially with the cost of gasoline continuing to climb with no end in sight. I mean come on. A friend of mine in another district was cut down when they went into the office to ask for a small raise to help out with increase in gas prices. Wow, these are people that have been with the company for a long time and have never complained before about having to use their own vehicles and supply there own gas. It's not like they are trying to take advantage or anything. These are good people we are talking about. People that have families and are trying to put food on the table and clothe their children. The same people that this company knows that they can depend on when called into work on a moments notice to show up at an audit when more auditors are needed. It's so sad.

I've been reading many comments, it seems that in most other states, this company is bs in all kinds of ways, but here in cali you guys seem sorta ok. Should i even go to this interview? After reading the comments i kinda think i have an idea now why the office that called me has 40 immediate openings lol, but if 40 people recently got fired or quite you gotta wonder why.

Hi Kevin. So you have an interview on Monday. Well, it all depends on what you are looking for. Hope u aren't looking for 40 hrs a week, cause you'll be lucky if u get 40 hrs every 2 weeks. Don't expect any raises. You are sent to different stores each time u work (and some are 10 - 20+ miles), and don't expect the Co. to help u out in the gas department. You pay your own gas unless the job is pretty far and they are having a carpool. One day you may start work at 5:00 a.m. and another day you won't start until 9:00 or l0 p.m. One job may only last 2 hrs and another could last 8 or more hrs. It's a real drag when you hit the freeway for 45 mins to an hour and only work for 2 hrs. Just don't expect anything from RGIS, you are a number and a dollar in their pocket and nothing more. If you're just going to be hanging around for a little while to make some pocket change, have no bills, and don't mind the crazy hours, I'd say go for it for a minute until you find something better. I know jobs are though to come by. Good luck. If you get hired, say "Hi" to gray shirt Jeff.

Offices are ramping up (hireing) for end of June/July which is the 2nd busiest season after January.
This job is for some not all. I heard a figure once (before Blackstone even took over) 30,000 hourly employees but 90,000 W2's issued. Tells you alot about the job.

Hey there...I don't know if this thread has become stale (it says a month ago) but I was wondering (since you mention both RGIS and district 293) if you could tell me who's in leadership in that district (who's the DM in Upland and, if you know, in San Bernardino)?

Hi Bamboonga in Rialto. It has been a while since I last checked in here. My DM is Donna, and the two AM's in the office are Michael and David.
Hey, what do you think about the Big Box Team? I think I heard they are going to be Dist. 250. I am already feeling the cut back in hours and am not happy with it. Seriously thinking of looking for another job that can quarentee more hours.
