I worked for RGIS a while back. When I went for my interview in February 2005, they asked me a few questions and gave me a counting test, which was extremely easy. A few weeks later I was called into a one-day training session at the office in Warner Robins. They went over the company policies, and I had the opportunity to count using the audit machine.

It wasn't until a month later that I received my first schedule. I received 12 hours in my first week, 20 hours in my second week, and 20 hours in my third week. In my final week with RGIS, I only received five hours.

Before you go to your interview, I would like to give you some words of caution. First, many of the team leaders will treat their auditors (your position) like children. Those leaders will yell at you and try to intimidate you. If you're lucky to get a team leader who respects his or her auditors, then the job will be bearable. There will be some inventories in which many teams will be present at one time, and that's when you'll see those disrespectful team leaders.

Another thing to keep in mind is that RGIS in district 132 is very strict on their attendance policy. You are only allowed three no shows per year without doctor's notes before termination. If you know that you cannot work on certain days or at certain times, make sure that you communicate this at your interview, during your training, and when your team leader first gives you your schedule. They tend to forget your availability, and if you're not careful, you'll get a letter in the mail stating that you were a no show, which will count against one of your three chances.

One final thing is that you must be prepared to work early mornings (as early as 5am) and late nights (starting around 6:30pm for inventory. You must provide your own transportation. Before you take the job, make sure that you can accept this. Expect to stand during the entire inventory. I ended up leaving because I received a better job offer.
