Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Rent A Center?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Rent A Center?

STORE MANAGERS AND SALES MANAGERS USUALLY WEAR PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE LIKE A SHIRT AND TIE. IT CAN DIFFER IN DIFFERENT MARKETS. EVERYONE ELESE USUALLY WEARS A RAC POLO STYLE SHIRT AND DICKIES.

IN THE LA MARKET, THIS IS A "NO "NO. ONE OF OUR STORE MANAGERS WAS FAULTED FOR FOSTERING A TIGHT FAMILY UNIT. HE WAS DEMOTED.

IT'S STRESSFUL LIKE MOST JOBS THAT DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC. THIS COMPANY HAS AN EXTREMELY HIGH TURN OVER. IF YOU LOOK AT THE FINANCIALS FOR THIS BUSINESS THEY SEEM TO BE DOING VERY WELL. IT CAN DO TWICE AS GOOD IF THE EMPLOYEES COULD STICK AROUND FOR A WHILE. PEOPLE LEAVE FOR ALL KINDS OF REASONS. THE PEOPLE THAT GET FIRED ARE USUALLY DUE TO PRESSURE FROM ABOVE MANGEMENT. THEY WANT A QUICK FIX SO THEY FIRE ANYONE TO PRESERVE THERE ON JOB.

MANY PEOPLE QUIT OR FIND A WAY TO GET FIRED BECAUSE OF THE HOURS. IT SEEMS THAT ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO LEAVE IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS A DAY. THIS IS A "CHEWING GUM" COMPANY.
