I don't work for RHI; however, I have used their services (RHI, Accountemps & OfficeTeam) as a hiring manager for a number of years and most recently as a job "seeker." Not after today. Today I was told, as a condition of employment and placement by RHI, I would need to immediately sign a "Notice and Authorization to Obtain Consumer Reports & Investigative Consumer Reports for Employment Purposes...to be used to determine eligibility before and during employment." By signing I would be authorizing "RHI to release these consumer & investigative reports to any client for which I am being considered for placement." "These reports may include written, oral, or other information about my character, general reputation, personal characteristics, mode of living, & creditworthiness...reports may include such information obtained through personal interviews of past or present employers, business or personal acquaintances, or other who may nave knowledge concerning this information." I am proud of my 45+ years of work experience and my reputation supports that pride. I am also fiercely protective of what little personal privacy we have left in our society. I wonder if the employees of RHI have also been asked to sign away their privacy? I won’t.
