A former Robert Half Manager said it best his comments follow: I worked for RHI for 4 years 3 as a manager, and will give you the scoop. All they care about is their bottom line and nothing else. The turnover is horrible (god forbid your a top producer and have a bad quarter..you are gone), the post false jobs and as many as possible to bombard the job boards, and never return calls. This company had a great reputation but once they become a 3 billion organization they lost site of who they were and what made them successful. They treat their employees like crap and their candidates. They even lie to clients to produce jobs. I work for a small firm now with a great reputation and believes in ethics. Just some advice..If you are looking for a recruiter, focus on the small firms that will give you the attention needed and time to talk and really get to know you. Good luck in 2007 with your job search. I say to everyone try them for your self and experience first hand the hell which is Robert Half. |

Does anyone knows what type of exam they give and what is the purpose for it? For example, one of the recruiter told me that I need to take an excel and accounting exam. After reading the postings on this board I am seriously thinking about canceling my appointment. Is there a valid purpose for this exam? What are they trying to test you on? Does it effect your placement chances? Thank you for your response. |

Told me they had serveral oppertunities. So I went in to 'meet them' and 'test'. For some reason I was too late for the oppertunities. They were given to some on else more qualified but not to worry as the meeting and test will give them the great ability to market me. 4 months later after I found my own job, they called me up and had another 'Oppertunity' and needed to meet with me again. I had told them I had already met with them and taken the test. They told me that (after some debate) there wasnt anything that they could do for me unless I came back in. So I told them I would, but never did Rob 1/2 Sucks. |

I worked for RHI and it only took me four months to realize what type of a company I was working for. I quickly found out that you are simply a number to them and if you fall off, even the slightest bit, in your numbers your are gone before you can blink. I had a friend in my office who was, month after month, a top producer her numbers started to dip a little and they told her that she had a month to pull those numbers up, three days later they fired her. I had another friend in my office and he wsa fired, not because of his numbers or anything, the District Manager simply said, "we let him go cause he didn't fit in". They are a real shady company, and I would not recommend doing business with them. As a cnadidate all you are to them is an hour they don't care about you at all. I'll be honest I posted fake jobs, lied to candidates and it took an attack of conscience to get me out, I just couldn't do it anymore. I have a great job now working as a financial analyst and have some great contacts in the industry. Good luck to all those looking for jobs, but stay away from RHI! |

I apply all the time with RHI and never show up to interviews, give false info, and give bogus resumes just to waist their time. If they find something that is a match for me I find a reason why they are not a good choice for me. I do it to car dealerships to. But there I will wait till they run a credit report with out my authorization and then make a seen at the dealership and report the unauthorized credit report to get them fined (its illegal here). |

I have had several bad assignments from Robert Half (Accountemps). Also they are terrible at calling you back and following up. The reality is that the majority of the sales staff are actually just order takers. They fill the orders that come in on a weekly basis. In this capacity they use little or no recruiting or sales skills to find new jobs for the financial staff. |

Get a life and do something with your life instead of wasting other peoples time who actually try to make a living at doing this job. |

Not only is RH success not due to your spelling or grammer, it's certainly not due to your sparkling personality. Let's all rush out to RH and subject ourselves to comments and attitudes such as this. If your an example of what candidates have to deal with, I want no part of it. Not skilled enough to apply for bogus jobs, yeah right. |

Worked in Texas through Robert Half and discovered how dishonest they are. DON'T USE ROBERT HALF! Don't hire their consultants, don't apply for jobs or register with them either. If you really want to avoid abuse, definitely don't work for them. Their recruiters and Directors are jokes, talk out of both sides of their mouths but lie profusely either way. If you're unemployed and benefits eligible, PLEASE think twice before accepting anything Robert Half has to offer they will likely place you in a Hell hole of a temp job and screw up your eligibility; they are also mean spirited jerks. Their benefits suck too. Find a job on your own or use a local agency but avoid these creeps at all costs. |

I was accused by Robert Half of identify theft. A recruiter said that I 'registered' several times under different social security numbers & told me that I registered under an address in NY & NJ that I never even heard of. This was the second time I had registered with Robert Half in Boston MA this time for their Salary Professional Division (they had called me), then the recruiter started accusing me of not telling her that "I had been there before". Occasionally I get calls from Robert Half but I have never worked for them for one hour let alone register under 'different social security numbers'. Of course you are supposed to give Robert Half all your personal info including drivers license & SS info before an actual job is ever presented if ever |

I've always been suspicious that RHI harvests resumes when times are slow. I applied for a position I saw online, went to their office and actually told the RHI person what I thought. The position did not interest me and that was 2 months ago. Then last week a NICE one appeared "RHI is partnering with a local company..." so I sent in my resume, got the auto reply from the RHI rep who I had sat with months before, then followed up with an email telling her of my interest in the position. Nothing. 2 days later I called the office to try to talk to her and got her voice mail so I left a message. Nothing. The following day I called again, and left another message on her voice mail and then called her cell phone, and had to leave another voice mail. Nothing. The next day I called AGAIN and asked if the RHI person was in. The receptionist didn't know. I asked for the office manager. He said he knew the person was in, email him my resume and he would bring it to her. Bottom line...I get an email from the RHI rep saying the position was filled 2 days after she got the info "and the position was filled from within!" I asked who the company was (yes,I would have checked it out) and she emailed back that it was "private" information. What a company. |

Robert Half blacklists with other agencies. Any loop hole for blacklisting is blacklisting even if it can be proven or not. I am NOT talking about doing a bad job and getting a bad report. I am talking about doing at least an average job or great job and blacklisting with recruiters in the area. This has happen to me because of a personal conflict (not professional) with a recruiter. I can not get any local agencies to respond to emails or calls after the conflict started, but out-of-state agencies contact me at least once a month when local agencies will not even contact me once a year. The biggest red flag is that the local office's story CHANGES which they have no contact with me now. I have reported this to the FBI and US Department of Labor, but have no response. Needless to say, I reported this to corporate and got one shady turn of events with a job application and FILLED OUT NEW PAPER WORK that I should have known better to sign. After that, no reponse from corporate even with all the evidence collected with expert level investigation anaysis involved. I have contacted them many times. I have been told constantly from RETURNING out-of-state agencies and professional acquaintances that this does not make any sense and this includes anti-fraud professionals. |
