THEY LIE, ARE INEPT,SELF RIGHTEOUS, AND SIMPLEY INCOMPETENT. I HAVE 28 YEARS IN MY FIELD AND A LAW DEGREE. A 25 YEAR OLD CONDUCTED MY LAST INTERVIEW AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK. NO WONDER WE HAVE PROBLEMS IN GOVERNMENT, SCHOOLS, AND THE REST OF BUSINESS WORLD.THESE KIDS HAVE BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL FOR MONTHS AND THINK THAT BECAUSE THEY TAKE A JOB AT 1/3 OR LESS OF MY WORTH THEY SHOULD MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT MY LIFE. IT IS ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU SICK.

Only you have the power to let someone "make decisions about your life." Recruiters ask the questions that allow them to determine if you are the right fit. You want to talk about yourself in a way that means nothing to them, put yourself on Facebook or MySpace. They are doing this to make a living. And by the way, just because they make a third of what you do (and don't be so sure you make that much more) doesn't make you more valuable or smarter.

It is obvious that you are one of those people. I would put my eduacation and experience up against yours. I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. For the most part, head hunters are social workers that can't find a real job. I had one contact me last week, and admitted that they didn't even know what CAD was, or how it was applied to the construction industry.

Well, I can't say for certain that my not-too-bright recruiter was lying, however, I CAN tell you that the day after we met and the job I applied for was, "already filled", I received a call from another recruiter (different company) telling me that she wanted to submit my resume for the same position!

Now, at least ONE of them is lying.

Oh, yeah, and the RFT recruiter asked for the link to my site with my portfolio and tried to forward the link to her co-worker but instead, pressed the REPLY button and sent email back to me. Nevermind that the GENIUS was saying some pretty unflattering stuff about my work...TO ME! IDIOT! If you're going to talk trash about someone's work, AT LEAST have enough sense to DO IT CORRECTLY!

Yeah, so that's MY story. I'd stay away from them if I were you.

Bob, your argument was hard to take seriously. Educated people typically can control their temper enough to type with proper use of the Caps Lock key. Also, your attack is pretty personal, calling the person interviewing you a kid, inept, a liar, and making 1/3 of what you do. Had it occurred to you that not all recruiters are born recruiters? Perhaps it was his first week on the job? Did he tell you his age, salary, and discuss his personal education and background, or did you infer all of this on your own?

I can definitely see why you were likely not considered for any positions, as this type of explosion would be very unprofessional and unpleasant while representing RHT at a job site.

It is unfortunate you had a bad experience, as everyone will at some point or another with any service provider, though it seems you took this pretty personal. Perhaps there is more to this story, because it does not seem like you were "wronged" enough to cause this sort of outrage.

I tend to agree with "X" in California. Recruiters are just that RECRUITERS. This guy must be one of those looser GEEKs who can't get a date with anything human. LMAO!

If any recruiters are reading this; I am currently a network engineer with a major telcom company. I need extra money and would love better opportunities. I would like to work part time while maintaining my current employment and see where it leads from there. If interested shoot me an email @ rockymntdan@yahoo.com

Your reply is self serving and unconscionable. It lacks merit and facts. I suspect that you are a recruiter. The interviewer bragging, about being on the job for 3 years. I simply now refuse to do "dry runs" to meet a recuriter, and if an employer the recuriter sends, wants to meet me, it is after a long telephone interview to see if we are a good match and not before. I spent over 6k of my money going on these "dry runs" for unethical recuriters, and position that siomply do not exist, no more. When recuriters call me, I tell them "no dry runs". This is not the only Head Hunter that I have taken issue with, just one that I have reasoned being wrong. This is only the 1/2 of the problem. Lying, unethical business practices, if you want the polite version, and fraud are the issues. When, as I did today, call a head hunter, who after continually saying how great their customer service is, has failed and refused, and continues to fail and refuse to return email,[over one week] telephone calls [over 2 weeks]and his boss telling me today that my CV has not been forwarded to anyone, in two weeks for a position that was "hot" and still on the net as current and listed in the newspaper, too. The VP doesn't care to discuss anything, becasue of liability. It clearly, raises the insane process to a new level.
I firmly believe and have a suspicion these unethical persons and firms are commiting FRAUD in the listing of potiential positions. Robert Half, is not the only one, MRI in Texas is also using this unethical business practices. Since the majority of responses seem to be in favor of may contentions, and I practiced law in California for over ten years, evidence and what a reasonable man can beleive seems to leave you in the cold in your arguement.

If the person, and I use the term loosly, can not even get a better name than "X" those comments should be completely disguarded. As for you rocky mnt dan [which should read]mtn for mountain, and I spelled it for you, just so you would know in the future. I believe there is a sheep in the fence waiting for you to show up.

Yeah that's true genius or captain obvious which do you prefer? Anyway Einstein your insightful input is lacking a view of the bigger picture and allow me to elaborate. He is merely stating that when searching for employment using an agency, one relies on their expertise and guidance, and with the ever growing number of shady employers out there today it's always nice to have someone on YOUR side helping you find a good employer.

Exactly my point, I did not trust them with my employment. The recuriter did not even know what a JD was no less what it was for. I am reasonably sure you don't either. As for over a century of work, you also can not do simple math. And, your a recuriter?
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. Since you have no idea of the facts, I would suggest you read the entire history. Also, since you are a recuriter, well enough said. Get a real job. Go to school and learn something, anything.

Just to let you know, I sue MBA's for fun and win. Since you are so successful, it seems unlikely that you would waste your valuable time on such a bottom feeding group. No offense to those that are not recuriters. These people can't get it right no matter what. Since you seem to represent that you are perfect, choke on this. Today, I was offered a 125k per yr position with perks. It was on my terms, and without a bottom feeder like yourself. And, at least I used my name here. I don't hide behind an alias and being very brave with that alias. Oh, by the way I guess you never made a typo either. Are you and God tring to figure out which one of you is in charge? I was told that MBA is More BS Again. I know MBA's, they think they are experts, and should carry Malpractice Insurance, I need the money. Incidently, I didn't know K-Mart sold MBA's, maybe it was Wal Mart.

Since your the guy that went to K Mart MBA school, and I went to the Marines, Parris Island, and for two tours of combat. You should thank me because you were to much of wussy to fight so you got a deferment. I never met anyone from Fla. that wasn't a wussy, or worse. I never met an MBA that had any guts, or integrity, and you just proved my point.

Bob B.,

Given that you got the offer for $125K, go on and move forward. What are you arguing about? You've ridiculed everyone here to no end. What's the point? You are fighting people you don't even know. It's obvious you're frustrated to be in a site like this. Perhaps your career is slowing down a bit. Genius is nothing if it isn't put into action.

I've interviewed many people like you, well educated and articulate. Despite all that they have, they can't seem to get over themselves to function professionally.

Ok, let's see. You're an older gentleman who was displaced from a job that you thought would be there until the end. You possess much experience and knowledge but companies are not willing to compensate you to the level that you'd like. Perhaps someone with less experience and younger took your former position. You look into your accounts and you don't feel you are monetarily where you want to be. Retirement is around the corner but you're not financially ready. Now you feel you're being discriminated upon by employers because of your age. You're now a victim. Despite all your hard work to earn you J.D. and other degrees/certifications you can't even get decent employers to listen to you.

Bob, I'm a proponent of education but I also understand that education does not entirely define you. It is you who defines you. If you have a rotten attitude, it will show. Re-read your comments and see for yourself.

I'm on here because I monitor people's opinions of staffing agencies. Everyone has a point but the staffing agency is inanimate. It does not chase you down. You choose it to be an aid or not.

Good luck to you all in your job search!
