Leaving a contract

Hi everyone,

I was hoping that someone could answer a question that I have regarding breaking contracts. I am two months into a four month contract with RHT, and just now a company that I had applied to two and a half months ago got back to me and they would like to hire me in a MUCH better position than I'm in now.

This happens to be through another recruiter (Insight Global) and they said I would only have 2 weeks to accept it, so I would be unable to complete my contract. Could someone please enlighten me as to whether or not I can accept this position? Am I legally bound to complete the four month contract? Lastly, what if the position was not through another recruiter but just a direct hire by another company?

I would greatly appreciate any help and thanks!
