What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Robert Half Technology?

What do you like best about working at Robert Half Technology? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

The Dallas office is very poorly organized with multiple recruiters calling your client every week to find out an end date.

Very unprofessional bunch of jerks -- I was paid $28 and they were billing the client $70 ---

RIP OFF AGENCY

The reason they are calling for an "end date" is so that they may be able to find you your next assignment so that you keep a paycheck. I wouldn't consider that being a "jerk".

What you're worth doesn't mean much to a bogus agency. RHT couldn't even find me a job making $30,000 in operations with AIX!

Thy are a consulting firm, you earn good money, that's what they are about, the benefits are a joke, you work with Robert Half if you are young and healthy and want good money, if you're old and sick, well forget about it...

The question is misleading, somewhat. If you mean working for RHT internally as a recruiter or sales person, then the pay is top in the industry. High base salary and great commission. The benefits are complete, and though there is no 401k match, there are stock options which can become very lucrative, if you study RHIs 10 year stock portfolio. RHI has training, corporate discounts all over the world, rewards programs and events.

If you are referring to being a contractor through RHT, then it depends on the position. If you accept a job at $28 hourly, what do you care what they bill the client? Many times, contracts cannot be renegotiated and if you want a raise, that comes out of RHTs rate, and their needs to be room for growth, especially for longer contracts. Contract positions are contract positions. If benefits are important to you, don't consider contract work, look for permanent positions only. If your current company told you that you could have a 20% pay raise, if you stop using (and paying for) your benefits, would you accept? This is a good question to consider before thinking about accepting contract work.

Terrible team in Dallas in Dallas, Texas

I went into a position with RHT extremely satisfied with the recruiter I initially met with and thrilled with the position. However, I agree with the person above about the hounding for end date information. The team of recruiters called very often to ask about availability, but never were available to handle any issues I encountered (with RHT). I was told to fax my timesheets into the local office and when the local office somehow lost the sheet (I had my confirmation sheet), rather than apologize for the mix up, I was told that I had failed to follow policy (which was to fax to the corp office only).

The benefits were terrible and I'm still fighting with insurance claims 9 months after I left.
