Probably know the answer, but I first went to RHT looking for a possible job. I then started researching the company, to find out it is a staffing agency with a not so good reputation. Went in for an interview. I want to know what to prepare myself for? or should I just forget them? I did go in for the interview, and they already had me fill out a W4 and I9 which i was already very hesitant on doing =/ the "interview" wasn't even an interview. asked me couple questions on my "experience" and then had me take a couple tests, which I did better than the "national average". so he is having me interview with 2 companies for a Contract to Hire position. Pay is close to what I wanted, but a little less (surprise surprise). should I be wary of those 2 job interviews? I for one have never done a contract to hire position, so I do not know what to expect. and considering what I have read around about RHT, i am not sure what to expect out of this whole process. |

I would be weary. This company undercuts the potential employee. I was offered a job by them at $12 an hour, where GDH offered me the same position at $15 an hour. Check around with other staffing companies before you get into this one. |

Before coming to Las Vegas, I had never heard of RHT. I don't know if my experience is all that relavent, but I figured I would relay what I know. The interview is not so much an interview for a job with them, but to see what package you will present when they send you on a job interview with another company. They are in the business of job placement services. They are not a top end career development service. My technical education is low, my experience mostly personal, but I was happy to be applying to work at Cox Communications as a Tech support rep and not in the billing department. The pay started at $11/hr until I was hired permanent. Temp contract was suppose to be 3 mos but turned into 5, mostly due to Cox's procrastination. Only two from my hiree group were kept at Cox's discretion, myself included. After going permanent the pay went up to $12/hr. This is a high end customer service job, not a low end tech job, and the pay has since gone up for those in the position. At the time, other call centers for technical support in the city were only paying $8.50-$10/hr, so the price was compatible. RHT was a stepping stone into a job at a time when I had nothing to show for my knowledge and skills and needed a job NOW. I don't consider this job a career, but its kept my family and I housed and clothed and fed for three years while I attend school. |
