safeway continues to run all of its companies into the ground while the ceao and his cronies continue to fill their pockets. [Name removed] and safeway are pulling the same thing enron did. i see within the next few years safeway no longer existing . [Name removed] along with his top guys on the board will all end up in prison . as for anyone that wants to work for a crooked company don't even bother.

Safeway is oversold on itself. As an insider I saw official calumny in action from Safeway's top executives on down to store managers. Some poor marketing decisions were made buying Von's and Dominics stores. It was, and is, a company that still makes money "in spite of itself" by blithely ignoring customers, abusing decent employees and running a retail business contrary to real needs. Engages in absolutely the worst type of unresponsive behavior except when it comes to lining their silk trouser pockets. Safeway's leadership could care less. They let the Store Managers and Call Center employees "take the heat." If only the stockholders knew what really goes on in those shiny stores and at Safeway HQ.
