I can say that I don't have any complaints with SAIC. I think I would have gotten a job had my credit score been stronger. Although I don't feel a credit score makes an ideal canidate I do feel the have the right to thumb through whomever, however they want. Any advice? |

Using a person's credit information is just another way to discriminate because who is most likely to have bad credit? |

And seeing they deal in classified projects who would be the most likely to sell secrets? |

you realize people who have clearance who go in debt get their clearances yanked, right? looks like there's AT LEAST more than one other reason you may not have gotten hired... |

Some of these jobs that use credit information to determine whether or not to hire a person, pay a hourly wage that would allow a person with bad credit to pay off what they owe. A person can pay off their debt quicker with $20.00 an hour than with $7.00 an hour. And they would also have money left over to pay current obligations. True the job may not last very long but alot of these jobs last at least a year. |

Hey do you mind me asking what your credit score was? I have a job interview with them coming up, and my score is poor. Now I am freaking out since I prob wont even have a shot at the job. |

I have an interview with them today and my credit score is in the 500 range. I filed for bankruptcy a few years ago and basically have no credit. The one debt I kept has gone sour brining my credit down. Its an administrative position so should I even waste my time. I don't want to leave a good job, work for them and then be terminated beacuse of my credit and be stuck in an unemployment status. |

You needn't worry about your credit scores...In Texas there was at least one SAIC employee who was in business with the Government COTR. Together they ran a "Swingers Club". The COTR also ran a pornographic website and then they all swindled $60 million from USAMITC using "shell" corporations and other schemes. In Iraq, I was told that some SAIC/Dyncorp employees (obviously not vetted very well by SAIC recruiters) ran some rather interesting and provocative busineses from their hotel rooms in the Al-Rasheed Hotel prior to October 2003. Is it always the honest people that worry whether their credit scores will be used against them?? Hey, people we are talking employment with SAIC!! Tell the SAIC recruiter how much you love your country and how you're willing to do the job for the minimum because you do love your country and you'll get the job. |
