What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does Sanmina-SCI stack up against the competition?

Well, they are known for layoffs. Just recently 70 people were let go. Salaries are below average and the culture is good ole boy.
So if you get hired on, and the manager creates his own policy which doesnt go with company, dont go to HR as you will be laid off even though your performance is better than others and you have over 3 yrs with the company.

After working for them for 3 years, it only took a few months to realize it was a bad move when Philips Medical hired Sanmina to manage there medical repair business. Sanmina is poorly run, has inadequate (or worse) management, has not given raises in three years, does not contribute to a 401K, continueally lies to its employees and is an overall terrible place to work. If it wasn't for the poor electronics industry in the S.E. I would of been gone 2 years a go.
