I scheduled a job interview on line with Sears and when I arrived I was seated next to to a woman with jean shorts and a tshirt with a backpack. I was dressed professionally but a lady came out saying that she was the supervisor (after interviewing jean shorts lady) and said the job was filled. She didn't even provide the courtesy of having me in for an interview. Then she tried to give me a sales job for $7.50 an hour. Sears claims that they are competitive but when I was told that they the administrative job started at around $8.00 per hour I was shocked. I drove an hour just to get there and I was totally disappointed in how they handled the entire thing.

I've have also seen how unprofessional Sears is. I scheduled an interview through the online application. When I went to the appointment, it was oh you have an interview, we'll see if we can find someone to talk to you. The put me in the training area, where others were working. After waiting for a while, some one shows up talks to me a couple of minutes. Says the person I need to speak with was off. She told me she would give the other person my application and she would call. That was several weeks ago and no call. |

I went in to interview today and it was extremely unprofessional. First they couldn't figure out who I was, then they told me I was at the wrong store (I wasn't), then they said the interviewer was on vacation, and finally they told me the position was filled. I was offered a job as a salesman (making $6 an hour). I refused. |
