In addition, you are awarded incentive pay for each credit application after 5 credit applications in a month. The incentive pay in my store in middle Tennessee is $2 per application. |

I worked in Sears Lawn & Garden and tools for several months before I had to move and I really liked it. If you are going to work at sears work in one of those departments or electronics or appliances not as a cashier. Sales people in those departments get 8.00 an hour plus commission on what they sell and plus commission I was getting aout $15 an hour with no previous experience. Being a cashier is not nearly as good. You just get the base pay. I think they were paying 7.50 per hour for that when I was there. |

I make $6.50 per hour we get paid every two weeks and i work 20 -30 hours. Your hours are few and far so mostly 20 or less than 20 hours is the norm. I make $600.00 a month and thats if I sell enough credit. You get paid once a month for credit apps and you must get 5 before they pay you the $2 per application. The applications have to be new or decisionable and duplicates don't count. Id work in commission department not as a cashier or MCA if you want to make enough income to support yourself or family. I think all of my associates have two jobs cant live off of $600.00 bucks. |

Vanessa in Jamaica, New York said: I have a interview at sears do you know how much they pay the cashiers? Whatever minimum wage is or perhaps 25 cents an hour more. Where I live minimum wage is 6.50/hour and they pay $6.75/hr... If you are lucky you live in a state that realizes that nobody should have to work for that.. There are better jobs out there- a dishwasher here makes $8/hr and doesn't have to work as hard. |

Kmart offered by niece, who is 16 years old, $6.15 an hour, and I was trying to see what the minimum and maximum is for a cashier in Abilene Texas. I believe if you don't ask for more they will give you whatever is the lowest rate. Concerned Aunt |
