how do i take time off from work?

I just started a week ago as an MCA (Merchandise & Customer Assistant), and am consequently on my 90 day probation. However, I leave for Europe in 15 days and I will be there for three weeks. How do I break the news? Will they fire me? I need answers ASAP!

Talk to your manager first and see if you can request the time off.

I don't understand why anyone would start a job and then leave for a vacation right away. You should of told management (or the person who gave you the interview) that you would be leaving soon so that they can get you started with training and whatnot whenever you come back from your trip.

that made me laugh. It was nine months ago, so i am sure you're no longer on the borads but i would guess they fired you when you told them. You hadnt even worked there for a week, and you already wanting to leave for a three week vacation! You should have told them the second they hired you.
