How can a manager who is rude to her own employees be kept when she is complained of so much even by the store Manager. The manager has left now, Ive been told because of not being able to run his store and let her go. We are Managerless and the Store is going crazy trying to keep up.
She is rude to everyone and if someone expresses themselves she tells them to punch out and come back tomorrow. A petition was sent around the store for her latest attempt at firing an employee, who wouldn't sit and tolerate her rudeness. I had a man come to my dept. who worked for her, an elderly gentleman who said he would come back when she is gone also, and told of how several have been driven from Sears because of her rudeness to employees. OMG someone said shes trying for store manager, Imagine what would be left of Sears in Pembroke Mall. All the other Managers have human relation skills, this lady has petitions signed against her by employees and she still is there.

Sorry to hear that your manager was let go because he wasn't brave enough to confront this woman and let HER go.

It is unlikely that they will let the store go "managerless" forever; the new manager might be able to curb her bad behavior or cut her loose if she cannot improve.

In the meantime, you will want to keep track of times and dates and specifics of how this woman acted inappropriately towards her co-workers/direct reports. If the problem is not addressed by the manager, then the next step would be to see if you can take it up to a regional manager or other higher-up.

Make sure that you have co-workers that can back you up on this and would be willing to discuss their concerns with higher management, since these kinds of complaints often get investigated.

If you have an HR Manager at your site, talk to him/her. I am also in HR, and can tell you that most HR people take a VERY dim view of the kind of behavior your manager is displaying.
