Securitas is not employee friendly

I have been employed by Securitas as an EMT/Security Guard in Salt Lake City for 10 months. If you are looking for work look elsewhere. Starting wage is $10.00/hr with no possability for a raise. When I was hired I walked in the door making more than Guards who have worked here for 15+ years. Benefits are outragously expensive. (As much as $100+ per week for a family. Health coverage only.) Often times employees are working 60+ hrs per week. I have seen co-workers work as many as 100+ hrs in a week. This was their choice but comes under immense pressure from superiors.(because they have to fill those shifts themselves) The turn over rate is huge, only 1 person has been here as a full time EMT/Security Guard longer than I have(by two weeks). These are just a few of the problems that come with being employed by Securitas. You've been warned!!
