Do you work at Securitas Security Services? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

I worked thee for 4 years. Cannot imagine a worse outfit to work for. Go to AlliedBarton, Apollo Security or Guardsmark. Securitas is a horror show. See postings at www.ripoffreports.com keyword "securitas".

Jim

I worked for Securitas for a little over a year.
I worked at a site that was very fast paced and stressfull, and required alot of technical knowledge and multi-tasking skills. All the people I worked with complained that we were overworked and underpaid for what we did. If you do get a good account with Securitas they work you to death and don't give you raises or much time off. They will also find any excuse to remove you from the account and treat you like crap! I saw too many good people who they treat badly.

I worked at Guardsmark for a year, 8 months as a supervisor making $10 an hour on one of the worst contracts ever. I had guards get beat up, threatened and even stabbed with a crack pipe. The company did very little to ensure our safety and paid even less to get anyone to stay.

Also, as far as securitas working people hard, that is the name of the game in security. You either work hard or you get left behind it is that simple. You don't go to a construction site and tell people "Hey this is hard, slow down". Security itself is a stressfull

People will always complain when they do not get what they want. But work is work and it is that simple. What they want is what they get or you are done, period. I have worked for Securitas now for 6-8 months now and, though there aer communication problems at times, it is a great job company. They pay decently, they treat those that actualy WORK and don't COMPLAIN very fairly and, at least here in Alaska, are very professional.
