Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Securitas Security Services?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Securitas Security Services?

Securitas, Tucson,AZ = Don't waste your tme!

I have the experience to back it up!

After 5 mos+ trying to get another assignment I was pulled from a post because, "You were rude to a client." Pointing to a sign & saying (mildly) "That is what the sign is for" is now rude. Nothing was said about how rude, demanding & nasty Pima County's clients are. Give me a break! What a bunch of whiners & absolute hypocrites these 3rd party employers (and their clients) have become!

Wanna be a bogus County Employee?
They'll also demand you perform 'other work' because they are no longer a PEO (directly payrolled) company. Securitas has become like Manpower; they provide "temp employees" e.g. guards for others. The company gets $$$ raises from its clients while the guards get nothing, Zilch, Nada, Zip for THREE YRS.

Employer Fail!

If you can & will "kiss butt" (engage in "customer service") do 'other work' that is, you'll survive this company's incredible arrogance, mismanagement, lack of care, unconcern and over-dependence on paperwork. As a security officer you'll get absolutely Zero respect, Zero recognition & Zero raises in spite of being 100% in job attendance & job performance; No lates, No-call offs. Doesn't matter, you're nothing to them.

Securitas ignores Labor Laws
Forget about taking your AZ mandated 10 min. breaks especially in a county contract setting. And you'll seldom get a lunch break if you work under the Pima County contract. All of this highly illegal under US Dept. Labor to boot.
Employer Fail!

Really bad Management
Any other security firm in town does a better job of running their show than this mealy-mouthed, oh-so-dependent on positional authority styled "cat-that-ate-the-Canary" lookin' outfit. And any other security outfit can provide better motivated & higher qualified management than Securitas could dream of. And they don't demand you perform non-security-related work as a psuedo-county employee either!

Again EMPLOYER FAIL

"That is what the sign is for" sounds pretty rude to me! I would never talk to the clients at my site that way! Sounds like an EMPLOYEE fail to me.
