What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Select?

What do you like best about working at Select? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

These personnel and temp agencies don't care about you. You'll be lucky to get a good rep who will really try to match you up with the right job. They, like most employment agencies are just in it for the $, and they are cheating the American worker out of monies that they could be earning but they are collecting in fees. I wish more companies would realize that and do the hiring on their own at least for hourly jobs. Most of the reps also lie to you just to get you to come in and register.

Having worked with over 12 recuiters/staffing/temp agencies, you are correct for the majority. Nothing is more frustrating than doing resume, testing, meeting w/recruiter - for a position that have posted, and then like a bad blind date, never hearing from them again.
However, there are some that are good and some do handle direct hire positions. There are some great recruiters. Unfortunately, you have to keep looking for the one that is out there. Due to local economics, lay offs, this is my third round in 4 years. I had been with a company > 18 years, so I do have some background in this.

If you look at some of the comments on these boards, you can get some help. The OfficeTeam and RHI have quite a few comments, 80% negative. However, there are some good points here/there.
Also, if you want some help back, give a little info on what type of job you're looking for. There's alot of good info from other posters. Good luck and keep your head up.
