What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Sodexo? What do you like best about working at Sodexo? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees? |

If the Sodexo account is a good one, they will pay for everything you need to travel for training, and they will reimburse your gas for anything further than 20 miles from your account if you need to pick something up. This reimbursement is about 0.50 a mile. A manager I position pays about $25,000 - 32,000, but usually on the lower scale of pay. Most hourly employees make minimum wage or a little over. Supervisors make $10.00 - $15.00 an hour, but don't expect the higher end of the scale. If you are a student employee, be prepared to be screwed into minimum wage as part of their "student worker" program. In exchange for a free meal a day and working around your school schedule, they will pay you minimum wage for work non-students get paid $10.00 an hour for and also get a free meal, and other benefits. Oh, they will reimburse up to $75.00 of your book fees, after your first semester worked, and it goes up and caps at $300.00, eventually. I know of few students who were able to use that program - they will totally watch your hours and deny it if you worked even one hour short of the program standards. |
