Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Southern California Edison? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Southern California Edison? |

You get discipline if you don't follow the dress code. People have to work very hard at Edison because they are a private company (At-will) and have a high turnover rate (notice why they have alot of job vacancy). Supervisors do not follow guideline set for company discipline and can terminate you over silly reasons even if you have excellent job performance. Most employers there fear of being terminated even though they have seniority because it's a private at-will company. Getting promotion/transfer to another department is very difficult. Supervisor at Edison does not encourage opportunity of career growth within their department. They tend to keep you in one position until you're worn and stress out from overwork. The computer keep track of how much work you do in one day. Some supervisor lacks supervision training and tend to bully the weaker employees. Good luck! |
