Hello
Hopefully ill be a sw employee soon!! (just waiting on call back) so once im hired and wanted to transfer to a different state or city how does that work? how long is the transfer process? how would i know what jobs are avail?

You'll have to complete training n 6 mths probation before your allowed to transfer
Then whatever stations your interested in you can fill out a bid for and fax it to them with permission from your current station. I heard there is also a possibility of transferring quicker with special permission of early release uncommon though...n u csn only transfer if the other station has a vacancy u cant just go bcaz u want to.
Keep in mind its also based on the # of bids on file n seniority ur allowed to transfer every 6 mths...the cost of moving is on you though
