I went to a job fair two times and the first time I was told that the would give me a call to let me know what went on. The second time i was given a second interview and I thought that I had made it. Unfortunatly, I didnt make it. I decided to go to a store personally and give my application to them. I was gaven an interview and she told me she would call me by Friday to see if I got the job of not. Friday came by and nothing. I decided to call back and she had told me that she had already called her applicants. I think that Starbucks is a bunch of B*S* because during the interview they make it seem that they would hire you and they make you seem that you are what they are looking for. As time goes on they dont call and they just mess with you.
How can i get a job at Starbucks? That is my goal to obtain a job at Starbucks
Please Help with suggestions

Basically you have applied to Starbucks five times and have been rejected. I would say you are not Starbucks material. Why are you so adamant about working there if they clearly don't want you?

This isn't a "spelling police" comment but look at what you wrote above.. You wrote "gaven" an interview."

Let me say this for the benefit of you and anyone else who reads. Spelling IS important but on a forum such as this, it doesn't matter that much. The main reason people mention it here is because it may be a clue as to how you operate outside in the world, particularly in an interview.

Here is something to watch for... If I write:

"The man walked down the road to see the interviewer." and it comes out like this:

"The msn walked down the road to ser the imterviewer." Those are typographical errors as the correct letter is just next to the one typed. Anyone can see that and anyone can make such mistakes.

If I write:

"Thu main walkeded down tha road too sea un intarviewar." Those are clearly not typographical errors but just ignorance on how to use English properly. It is also an indication of this may be the way you speak as well in an interview.

Employers in an interview pick up on things like this. If you say you were "gaven" an interview, it indicates your English isn't that good and they don't want Starbucks to be embarrassed by having someone with poor skills in the language standing behind the counter serving coffee to its customers.

It's a hard lesson but that is most likely why you are failing to get the job.

I actually had an interview about a month ago. The manager said he'd call me within the week to let me know either way. He never called. So I called back the following Monday and he said that they were overstaffed. If they were overstaffed, why was he interviewing people? I will have an interview at a Starbucks a little further away next week...we'll see how that goes. They actually have signs up that they're looking for employees for the holiday season.
