I now live in the Sarasota, FL area. I am looking for a Claims Adjuster position. I came from the NY market and have six years of experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I was recruited by Bank Of America when I moved to Florida and banking is not for me. Any suggestions on how to get into a company like State Farm or Progressive? Also, any suggestions on what my skills would transfer into after a career with Enterprise? I really enjoyed Enterprise but did not want to drop down in rank when I transfered out of NY. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't do it, I made the jump 10 years ago from ERAC to Claims, it is as bad as they say and more The same reasons for leaving ERAC you will find waiting for you at any claims job. Long hours, lack of pay, and lots and lots of stress! Save yourself sometime. I have worked in insurance for over 7 years and the grass was not greener in Property and Casualty.
