It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Sunrise Senior Living?

Any advice on striking the right note?

Yes, we do use a group interview format. It is a good way to see how people interact with one another and take leadership. As an example, in this setting if a candidate does not give others the respect of listening to their questions, we can translate that to "they are not going to respect their team". This group interview is a general conversation to allow both parties to discover if they are a cultural "fit" and it is not about individual skills at this point. For instance, the fact that every community has pets is covered, if you are afraid of dogs you will know then that Sunrise is not a fit for you. Every community based position - even leadership - participates in a group interview. These should be scheduled weekly, so just ask the receptionist when you should come!
