All the people who complain about companies that do a bad job at replying to candidates need to realize how many applications companies get. Do you really expect to get a response from these large companies? You didn't get a response, so what. Move on. Apply for something else. Or maybe take some responsibility and call them for a follow-up. The only person that can be blamed for you not getting a job is you.

I agree! I love how people think these companies are going to reply to every single person who applies for a job. Sometimes they get thousands of applications! Is that boss supposed to call them all back and say, I'm sorry, you aren't qualified?
And just because you might have all the qualifications in the world, that doesn't mean you're guaranteed a job anywhere. If the guy doing the hiring doesn't like you, it doesn't matter.
Some of the people on here need to take a good close look at themselves instead of whining about the people who won't hire them.

This is not always the case. I have had companies and recruiters alike contact me three and four months down the road for the position that I had applied for and really wanted but was forced to accept a job that wasn't as good due to being out of work. You would think that these companies would at least reply within a reasonable time frame instead of waiting so long. How do you know if you got the job or not? What are you supposed to do in the mean time, starve?

Who ever wrote the reply about being out of work is your fault tries to sound like a big shot but I bet in actuality is nothing more than a low wage earner who works at plentiful jobs like McDonalds.

I've been looking at this TJX Company thing and have noticed a trend. I don't know if anyone has noticed but the advertisements for the Bloomfield, Connecticut facility have been the identical advertisements since, would you believe?, last January and repeat every 3 days or so. I've seen it on Monster, CareerBuilder and, ofcourse, Indeed's website. I know this because a year ago , I was faced with a company closure. While I did my homework and found new employment, the Bloomfield facility keeps running the same ads for Distribution Center Supervisor, Operations Manager and D.C.Manager. With that said and having seen these repetitive advertisements, the impression that I get is that an organization alledgedly of that caliber is unable to get off of the picket fence as well as being unable to make a decision. I also interviewed with them and the interviewer was an outside contractor, imagine that. You couldn't even get an interview with a TJK representative. In addition to the interview, I received a tour of the distribtuion center. Here's a place of business with a disaster waiting to happen. There were more people operating material handling equipment with more blind spots that I've seen in over 20 years of management. There were many "close calls" while we weaved our way around the facility. So much for safety and the place was a mess. It makes me wonder whose minding the store. Anyway. I am employed but as a rule of thumb, I always keep my resume acive to make sure that my talents in management aren't being wasted and are compensated accordingly.
After my initial interview, I will not pursue any opportunities that they advertise because an organization that can't make a decision and re runs the same advertisements with no closure is an organization that can not be too stable regardless of what they say about themselves. Remember - Impression goes a very long way and they do an extremely poor job in enticing a potential candidate.

My issue with TJ Maxx was the same as others.... they pursued me hard and flew me down to Las Vegas after trying to coax me into Indiana. Then... while they KNEW I had other offers on the table from Fortune 100's they drug their feet and sent me a letter saying they found someone else... but they have run the same ads for the same jobs for *gasp* a solid 15 months. I, too, toured the facility and saw complete disarray. Safety issues beyond comprehension and so many people I knew why their safety record was so poor.

I was amazed... and recommend people not wasting their time. Unless, you want a free trip to Vegas.

I can not agree more with you. I work for them at the moment (actively looking for a new job). I went for an interview in Home Office and never received a reply from them. If they are this arrogant with people that they know "and care about" i can only imagine what it is like for the outsiders. Good luck somewhere else!

I applied for a Human Resources position at the South Bend, IN location, and with 25 yrs of HR experience on my resume, the HR sent me a reply stating, "thank you for your interest in our AJ Wright. At this time we are not currently recruiting for the Warehouse." ?????

I applied and was interviewed less than a week afterward. It appeared to be a great interview which was nearly three hours long. We mutually expressed great interest and easily passed all test. Two hours into the next business day I call my outside agent again and was told the position is filled. This job offer as a CSR is always posted. I responded directly to TJX HR stating my continued interest in the position. My response was nill. My advise is attempt a brief phone interview to gage the qualification fit for the position and surely to ask if they are currently hiring for the position sought.

Not surprising, considering in the S.B. D.C. they don't get many applicants because no one wants to work there. If you believe in blessings in disguise.... it happened to you.
