It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Target Stores?

Any advice on striking the right note?

Right before my actual interviews, I had to fill out a survey/questionnaire on their in-store computer. After completion of that (it had some questions dealing with reading graphs..etc when I signed up for the FLOW team) I was interviewed by an assistant manager then after him, came back another day to talk to the HR representative of that store. Anyway, some questions were: What was something you disagreed with (policy, persons actions (2 different questions)) and what did you do about it?; What would your most current employer say about you?; The interviewers basically read word for word what was on a basic target interviewing sheet (even the HR rep). More questions: What do you expect from the Target corporation if you are employed?; What should the Target corporation expect from you as an employee?; Describe a time when.....(many questions are like that and you can basically just come up with some scenario that happened and just describe it to them)
Keep in mind while your doing the interview that the Target corporation is AGAINST the UNION!!! if any question is directed a union, please answer it in some fashion against it. For example, one question will probably be: What do you think determines if a person is given an advance in payment (promoted...etc)? And basically your answer would be either between the time someone has worked there or the quality of work- obviously you would say that quality of work is much more important than the time spent there when it comes to promotions and seniority...
Hope this helps!!! I just got hired a couple weeks ago. Already I am having trouble getting any hours (only getting ~14.5 a week) but can pick up other people's shifts relatively easy (only if they are in the areas you are trained in though). I talked with a supervisor about getting trained in more areas other than truck unload/pushing merchandise/cashiering but they basically say you have to wait a few months when you get a review with upper management.
