Hi. I'm Nathan. I am a Wal-Mart associate here in Des Moines, Iowa. I recently applied at Target yesterday and had the first and second interview today and they offered me a cashier position (what I wanted...yes I'm still in college so it's okay to have a low-totem pole job :-) .) Anyways, I've been with Wal-Mart for almost five years and have loved most of it, until I started college and worked at my current store. Morale at my current Wal-mart is VERY low...worse than any wal-mart I've seen. I work in the Mobile Phone department and the three months I've worked there I have gotten jerked around big time (being written up for offending other customers and associates....in which I asked to name a few situations in which I offended a customer or fellow associate, my department manager and manager couldn't think of one...making the write up POINTLESS...) So I applied at Target like I said and I am being offered a cashier position and I am taking the drug test Tuesday. Now what I want to know is...is Target a great company to work for? I want to work at a place with positive attitudes and great morale and enthusiasm! Or should I stick with Wal-Mart and be somewhat miserable? What is it like at the front checklanes at Target? And this is a high-scale community SuperTarget...meaning it's in a new development part of town (rich people lol)...West Des Moines. So what should I expect? Please Email me or comment on this board. My MSN Messenger is Nathan_18_nintendo@msn.com. Thank you!
