Interviewed at a Target last week, and was instantly offered an (hourly) position contingent upon passing a drug test and background check. NP. Got mail today informing me that I was no longer offered the position. Why? Misdemeanor harassment from 2004. Is this really their policy? Not hiring for anything on your criminal record at all? I am very surprised that a misdemeanor from 7 years ago would disqualify me from the position.
