Working at Target takes a toll on your body. As a cashier who not only operates the register but bags the mounds of things customers buy, there is a chance you will develop carpel tunnel syndrome.
Working on the floor lifting heavy furniture for guests, there is a chance any preexisting condition like hernia or PVD due to Diabetese, will get worse due to the constant movement and or lifting.
Currently, they only give benefits to people who can work 20 hours a week. However, a store may hire too many people, therefor most team members won't have a chance to work 20 hours. They say they are doing it for the people. But lets face it. By overhiring, they have to give less benefits. Target is like Walmart and many other retail stores; it's where the working poor break their backs.
They don't get health benefits for breaking their backs. I'd like to know what percentage of team members apply for worker's compensation benefits.
