Thanks for the comments and warnings. They can't even spell correctly; in the job posting for a kitchen designer, they misspelled corian! |

I believe the address you have noted on Pearl Street is maintained by CSC Credit Services. They are an affiliate of Equifax out of Atlanta Georgia. When ever you contact Equifax to correct errors on your credit report they state they do noe maintain credit records at their office and refer you to CSC on Pearl Street Checking CSC info on the net publishes no known street adddress only PO Boxes, and the do hava a a Job search page offering varied positions all over the world. Most of these jobs have nothing to do with their firm. Question: Why is CSC credit reporting bureau maintaining a job site for positions at firms other than theirs?

It simply has to be a scam. They have been advertising multiple job fields and positions in Sacramento for weeks. There must be some money behind their scheme because an ad for a tile setter in Sunday's paper ran 31 lines. That costs serious money!! My guess is it is a resume writing outfit (to get tons of hopefull prospects), or an employment agency supply scheme where they supply agencies with data. This tile setter position would be a "dream job" and if it sounds too good to be true....... FYI, at 9:15am 3/25/07 I did a test call to the fax nbr and it did answer. Now I don't know whether trust it or not..... |

3/25 ...2nd post// Did some follow up searching on Indeed.com and found comments written by "Wendy-Host Indeed.com" She indicated enough problems with Team Exceed to have caused them to pull all ads on Indeed.com by the poster. That should pretty much tell the story of 700 North Pearl Suite 510. Funny that a Google search on the address finds Greater Dallas Chamber (of Commerce??) at the same building. |

If you call this number 214-237-9111 you'll get a receptionist who answers with "Foreign Labor Center." When you ask for "Team Exceed" she knows what you're asking for and then refers you to a receptionist "Tiffany". When you ask Tiffany a few questions about Team Exceed, for example, the questions I asked were "What does you company do?" and "Could you tell me a little bit about your company?" she drops you into the voicemail of a "Paul Gibbs." I don't have time to play phone tag with someone who probably isn't going to return my call. Maybe somebody else does. Go for it! |

I suspect it's a scam. I'm a professional pattern maker with an AA degree, and 3 years pattern making experience. The job discription states ....uses calipers and knife to make pattern...never heard of a caliper and knife being used for apparel patterns in my life! So they obviously don't know what they're talking about. Any real employer would know this without a doubt. They posted many openings for a patternmaker which pay double and up, what I make and require no education. sounds too good to be true... |

Well, am glad I found you all out there in cyberspace! Has anyone tried calling the newspaper or police to investigate...they have to pay for ads. I noticed in the Colo Sp. paper they had an acupuncturist ad next to a tailor ad which made me wonder what kind of company would hire a tailor and an acupuncturist...kind of punny! needle and sew the patients together!??? :-) |

I found this on another google search..makes the most sense Rick said:
I'm a recruitment rep at a newspaper and I think that Team Exceed advertises for immigration purposes only. Which means that it's only advertising to show that their client in fact did advertise for a job but couldn't find anyone else besides the illegal immigrant that currently works for them, which is why they never reply back to anyone that applies to their jobs. So, that's how these people get Visas to stay here in the US. I work with many immigration companies and the fax number is the same in TX... I think I solved the mystery! Reply - Flag for review |

the sad part of it all is team exceed is a government funded contractor. running an ad but not working any of the resonses is a loop hole around the visa sponsorship issue. when they stop getting funded, they'll take all the resumes on their new database and become the next monster... |

I discovered the scam after spotting nearly 30 "respond to Dallas" ads in last Sunday's Detroit Free Press. I sent a Letter to the Editor, but I doubt they'll print it (ad revenue, you know). It seems particularly cruel in a state that leads the nation in unemployment that companies in Dearborn (Ford?) and Midland (Dow?) can advertise for high-paying positions that essentially do not exist. eye understandnowin Ann Arbor, Michigan said: You were all right. |

LET ME EXPLAIN WHAT TEAM EXCEED IS - ONCE AND FOR ALL! Team Exceed is the government contractor working for the Department Of Labor under foreign labor certification program. Legal foreign workers have to go through this process to obtain permanent resident status (or Green Card). According to the immigration law DOL has to advertise these jobs for 45 days to collect resumes of all possible applicants. Since the job that is being advertised is already filled in you WILL NOT receive any replies. I would guess that the purpose of such advertising by the Team Exceed is to count the number of qualifying US workers for that particular job. THE BOTTOM LINE - DO NOT SEND YOUR RESUMES TO THE TEAM EXCEED POSTINGS as you will not be employed by them - it is not even a "physical" company that can hire you. Save yourself time and efforts. I thought I'd let everyone know. |

Whoever is or was Team Exceed is also posting jobs as Tr2-AW. I did a Superpages.com distance search for employment / staffing agencies at or near the Pearl street address. There's no such business at Suite 510. Another agency was listed on a different floor at that address but the phone number given was not in service. |

214-237-9116 is a fax number listed for job seekers to submit resumes for the position of "Special Education Teachers" with the local independent school district. It appears in Sunday's city newspaper (August 12, 2007): I purchased the early edition. The pay is far greater than one would expect to receive from a schoold district: sounds too good to be true. The address is 700 North Pearl Street, Suite 400, Dallas, Texas 75201. I went to the advertised school district's web site only to discover that no Special Education Teacher positions were posted on their "Jobs" link. Other employment opprotunities were listed, but not this one. Legit? Hmmm... |

There was another thread dedicated to what Team Exceed is, but I'll repeat myself here again. Team Exceed is the government contractor working for Department Of Labor. This is not a scam! They post resumes on behalf of US companies to establish presence of US workers for jobs currently occupied by legal foreign nationals. This is the first step for a foreign worker toward receiving so-called green card. Here's how the whole process works. If US company hires a foreign skilled LEGAL worker and is willing to keep him/her on a permanent basis they first apply for a labor certificate. The Department Of Labor is responsible for supervising the process. In a nutshell, they post a resume on behalf of the company and monitor how many qualifying US workers respond. They collect all resumes for 45 days and forward them to a US company that is seeking the adjustment of status for a foreign worker. At the end of 45 days the company must interview all people who applied and see if they qualify. If any of them does qualify, then labor certificate for the employment of a foreign worker is denied and technically the company should hire a qualifying US worker. Well.... that is how it's done in the perfect world. The bottom line, do not apply for any job that has Team Exceed in it because first, you will not get a quick respose, and even if you do get a response, the company that may invite you for an interview will not be interested in hiring you (well, simply because they have another person holding that job and have to go through this ridiculous process by law). If you don't believe me, go ahead and try and then post any success stories on this board. Do you see any, BTW? I can guarantee that the only effect that you'll get off of it is screwing up life of some legal hard working guy who came to this country to try his share of the American Dream... |

MS in Dallas is correct about the fax number (214) 237-9116. It is advertised in Sunday's paper for those seeking a position as a special education teacher in the Dallas Independent School District. I suspect that since filling special education positions are incredibly difficult, they have sought the help of an employment agency/recruiting firm. Also the special education jobs are listed on the website. When you click on the "Jobs" tab, you must also click on "Teaching Jobs" and you will see that there is indeed a listing for not only special ed. positions, but all the other hard to fill positions as well. CSC is a COLLECTION AGENCY . That's their "affilication" with Equifax. Collection agencies will do anything to keep track of where people are, since people who are in debt often seek to hide their whereabouts from these bottom-dwellers. Of course, someone who is under financial distress, probably because their company laid them off for an H1B or offshored their job, WOLD be looking for a job, trying to make the system work for themselves, like good little slaves. Such people are typically desperate to pay their creditors, and can be found online looking for what else? A JOB!!! So collection agencies are developing a private database of people's whereabouts. What a surprise. It's time to deep six the collection industry for good and get their owners and operators in jail, preferably for the rest of their lives. Email your Senator and Representative and COMPLAIN. |

Always apply directly to the company. Yes Monster and Dice are convenient, but the too many of the jobs are scams , in fact, WAY too many not to not make me suspicious about THEIR participation in all this ... |

The Pearl St. address is that of an office of the US Department of Labor (DOL), Division of Foreign Labor Certification. By law an employer who wishes to hire an alien on a permanent position must advertise the position to see if there are any US workers who are able, willing and qualified for the job offered to the alien. In effect, the jobs described are available, but the employer and the attorney of the employer and/or the alien, want only to hire or retain the alien. According to

Citizen Carrie, if the US Department of Labor really wanted US workers to apply for these jobs they would have tried to improve the system over the years. From 1980 when the regulations changed for the worse, opportunities for US workers have deiminished. DOL does not care about the US worker. The goal of the labor cert. program now is to provide employment for thousands of attorneys and immigration consultants to make money by facilitating the employment of aliens at the expense of our people and our country. Excuse me for being cynical but I have watched this process for many years, working towards improving it to the benefit of Americans, but there is no will on the part of Congress to mend the program. |

Go to DTI Associates dot com, a defense contractor. See locations. Suite 400 is one of their locations. This operation is a joint venture between DTI and Exceed Corporation, a govt contractor based on the beltway in Maryland; they're contractors for Dept of Labor. Phone 214-237-9111. If you really want to talk to someone, try their phone system's dial by name. Two employees have the last name Gordon. After hours voice mail states "Foreign Labor Certification Dallas Elimination Center". Calling Lou Dobbs!!! Let's organize a demonstration, work stoppage, something!
