I can't get over the fact that I was let go from my job of 10 years for asking a girl if she had a boyfriend.

Life and especially employment situations are not always fair.

Try to see the other side of the argument -- not because they were necessarily right, but to understand their thinking -- so you can avoid that situation in the future.

Your post reveals some things that you may not see. Unless she was a minor, she was a woman and not a girl. If she was a minor, that's a whole other problem. Men only ask women if they have a boyfriend if they are sexually interested in them, so they may have interpreted your question as sexual harassment. Was it only one girl, one time? or did you do this to a lot of females to the point where they were uncomfortable.

The old rule still applies: Don't get your meat where you get your bread. Get over the self-pity, learn something from it and move on.

The problem exists in my book due to the fact that there was no proof of being fired I asked my coordinator at the time if I needed a lawyer he replied with why. I recieved a piece of paper with chicken scratch on it with my
statement.

i too was wrongfully fired and am being falsly prosicuted because people in higher management are trying to cover up a large theft ring and major epa violations the truth is i have evidence they have money im fixing to spill the beans for them when it all comes out in court on sept 3 in hyden ky.
