Do you work at The Fresh Market? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

NO do not go to the fresh market. They are cheap they do not give a crap about the employees. i have screwed over so many times by them. I have been working there over a year and i am trying to hurry up and get out. The manager where i work is a jerk!!! all i can say is Cheap Cheap Cheap. If you wanted to work there for a long time and top out at $9.00 an hour then have fun. if not KEEP LOOKING.

Your experience at The Fresh Market will vary significantly depending on your DM and store management. The keys to getting hired are in order of importance, open availability, enthusiasm, and experience. The application will ask you if you have open availability, if you do not click yes, you will not be hired.
If you have great experience you will likely be called, if not, communicate your enthusiasm by calling the store manager.

I completely agree it depends on your store management team on whether or not you have a great experience. Want to get hired? Personality goes a LONG way.

Yes, I found it to be a good place to work. It had it's problems like any other job but it worked for me in the time being. I visited the place before I moved to TN and then kept up with the manager as I was moving. When I got the job, it happened when I was fully moved in. I stayed in the company for 6 months and got a raise in it. Although I needed to pursue other work because my family was in need of something that paid more larger in regards to merely supporting a family. I hated leaving and still miss them today, but I would recommend them to anyone that is truly on a path of retail as a career!
