What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does Thomson stack up against the competition? |

Against competition, Thomson Healthcare is slow, fat and arrogant. They are not responsive to customers or the market |

Thomson is adding 2,000 new jobs to the Eagan, Minnesota campus and a adding a new wing to the monstrous campus. We have 7,000 employees already. The company is probably going to get a huge tax break to do this. Somehow, I don't think layoffs are a problem. A 4 billion dollar profit in 2006 is probably good. |

You probably want to research the company (and spell the company name correctly) you are looking at to see if there is even a need for your skills at the company. |

I have been here almost 8 years and wouldn't recommend it. The atmosphere is very corporate and impersonal. I have personally experienced 7 reorgs in my time here (all with new job titles and supervisors). There have been several rounds of layoffs due to loss of big customers as well as a push to outsource jobs. Don't expect much of a career path here. Many of my co-workers here in Denver are looking for alternative jobs. |

Thomson Global Technology in Eagan just announced layoffs of 44 staff members today, jobs being moved to Thomson staff in India. FYI, there is large manufacturing plant in Eagan. The West Publishing arm. |

Well if Thomson is in anyway related to the offices in Dallas Texas an RCA, Your all Screwed. I just spend 6 hours on the phone with them from Mpls to Dallas.
It would do them good to be sued today just for wasting my whole fkg day. |
