You are doing some on the job training as well as going to their training facility. The first few weeks are relatively slower. The whole job is not hard work but non stop and is very physically demanding. You will be trained thoroughly. It is time sensitive and does not leave a lot of room for chit chat which is frownded upon. It is difficult depending on how fit you are but their not paying ya the big bucks for nothing. I've been there for a couple years now and still come home exhausted and crash on the couch. The guys I've talked to that have been there longer all say simillar stuff.

Jobs are over processed in some areas and need to be trimmed to be more managable.
Some days are harder on the body than others.
TMMC is cutting wages so the job is becoming more appealing to the younger generation which may have less cost of living. Maybe still at home .so no rent or mortgage?
Pensions are next on the chopping block and employees are talking union representation.
