Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Tyco Electronics? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Tyco Electronics? |

I work at Tyco Electronics in Berwyn, PA and it's a positive, upbeat environment. Because the company had a difficult past, they are doing everything possible to make it a great place to work. |

The environment is one of very high pressure to perform and be bottom line driven. Every employee is in constant fear that their job will be moved to another plant or they will be replaced with someone younger at less the pay and benefits. |

Most of the office attire was business casual & we generally observed casual Friday where we could dress down to jeans & T-shirt. The people I worked with were generally friendly & we had a good direct work environment. As Cook mentions, there is unfortunately frequent restructuring within the company. I was just recently laid off from Tyco Electronics due to an internal restructuring that decimated my entire department. |
